A loyal dog of the Jinghua Crime Syndicate, starting to feel the ache in his bones and the wear in his soul.

Nothing he can't hide behind a curtain of smoke and other vices.

Appearance

Tall and lean, with long and elegant limbs. His eyes are sharp, oft ringed by dark circles that add to the intensity of his gaze. At first glance, he seems frail, like a long legged crane, but his body is well muscled and tough, like those same birds that spear fish within rushing river waters.

Skills and Abilities

Keen eyed - Sharp eyes make him a good look out, and lend themselves well to casing out a joint, or tailing a mark.

Hands of stone - He may not look it at first, but Hiei is no stranger to hand to hand fighting.

Business Minded - If you want to get anywhere beyond street tough in the Syndicate, you need to be more than street
smart. A writer of words and a counter of coins, Hiei has been trusted more than once to count the score.

Terrible cook - He can't cook for shit.

Archer - There was a time where he shot for competitions, and hoped to serve the Dynasty.. Those days are long dead. As are many of the marks he's feathered.

Biography & Lore

What's there to say?

The son of a nobody goon who was born into the Jinghua Syndicate. His father never made it past street tough, and his mother, well, she worked the brothels. Not that there was anything wrong with that mind you, and if you bring it up, don't expect to be walking about much longer.

Still, that sort of thing wasn't too uncommon in the Blue District, and definitley not in the Red Crane Tower complex. Just about everyone there was involved in the Syndicate in some way or the other. Still, it's not exactly what Hiei wanted to do. More like all there was to do.

Dropped out of school early, because well, the Synidcate paid good money for a quick kid. Hand offs, pick pockets, break ins. Those gigs got you started. And if you didn't get caught, well, your name got around. More missives came in and soon enough, you turned official.

Stupid that.

Well, more like stupid him. For turning official that is. Not that he would ever admit feeling that way.

And just like he was good at taking and robbing, he was good at breaking and hurting. It just, didn't sit as well with him, he supposed. But what did that matter? The money was good, and he made it further up the ranks than his father ever had.

Stupid old man never seemed to be happy about it though. Drunken moron that he is.

But, fuck it, right? Life's too short to sweat the small stuff, and sooner or later, he'll be the Lieutenant of his own crew, and he'll move up a few floors, maybe next to the gardens or the ponds. Sooner rather than later, if Hiei has anything to say about it.
