Harun Ahidjar
Appearance
He wears his thinning hair in a loose ponytail. with a thick beard now streaked with white. He'll usually keep to simple, humble clothing, with a strong preference for more practical attire. For travel he wears a thick cloak to shield himself from the desert dust and winds; in towns and cities this will be eschewed in favour of a simple tunic.
Skills and Abilities
Harun is literate and fluent in several languages and has a sufficient grasp of many more, some of which are effectively dead. He knows much of lore, particularly that of Amol-Kalit, although knowledge often beckons further questions that follow it.
He was hardly an adept fighter in his youth, and old age has done little to help this. He may not be a pacifist, but all the same he'll wisely avoid battle unless absolutely necessary.

Personality
Harun was a scribe and tutor in Thakath; work that suited him well. Exposure to literature gave him passing knowledge and interest in history, lore, philosophy among numerous other topics. As much love as he held for his post and job, the curiosity became too much. Once he had amassed enough money to enable his travel he did so, setting off to discover more of the knowledge he sought firsthand.
Biography & Lore
Harun was born with a love of literature, and it was little surprise that he found work as a scribe. He was a quick and careful writer, and the opportunity to see new works was as much a motivator as the wages. Harun absorbed literature, knowledge and lore; all of which would feed his growing wanderlust. Once his children had left home, he saw his chance at early retirement and with the money he had saved up he financed his own travels. Now without home, Harun explores the sands, content to spend this era of his life to discover for himself all he had read and learned of.
