Physical Description
Gwythiel Faenwe is fairly typical as far as Elves go. She is lithe of limb and swift of foot, both of which show in her gait as she walks and runs. Her skin is fair and freckled, and her eyes are a soft blue. Her hair is long and brown, often kept up or back in a loose queue. She wears clothing of Elven make, strong and durable, but not really armor. The clothing is mostly in earth tones, aside from an ivory colored scarf with delicate embroidery in silver thread that denotes her as a Lindë or Singer Mage of the Elven realm. The rest of her attire is often simple, aesthetically, and made to travel well, from cotton shirts and underthings to soft woolen jackets and trews, to her soft doeskin boots.Biography
Gwythiel Faenwe was born in an arboreal village a short distance from the center of Fal'Addas. Her father was a Lindë and her mother was a Keeper, one of the guardians of the Elven realm. Her adolescence was filled with laughter and love, and lots of learning. In her family, children tend to follow the path of one of their parents, and as such she was taught from an early age about both of her parents professions. While she eventually chose to follow her father in becoming a Lindë, she learned a great deal about the skills and ways of the Keepers.Once she had chosen to become a Lindë, she left her family home to train with Herdir Athalian Celebrim, a Master Singer. From him she learned far more of the theory and practice of the Song Magic of their people. After a few decades of such training, she was tested to pass from a Eredh Lindë to a Nimloth Lindë. At this point in the lifecycle of her learning the skills of a Lindë, she must walk the world for a time, as Singers need to be knowledgeable of more than just their forest home in order to be of use to the Elven realm.
