Appearance

Tall and muscular, this man is frightening at first in his concealing robes, making him seem almost dangerous. While he can be, he isn't all that big of a threat unless you blatantly provoke him. The majority of his time is dedicated to studying the mystical arts, all aspects of it, this has lead him into some darker spells and magics, so he isn't welcome amongst the majority of the Wizards guilds. Despite what he meddles in he is still a cheerful and friendly, if somewhat odd, person to be around.

Skills and Abilities

He is a very talented sorcerer, mostly because of his almost obsessive study and practice. His focus on magic makes him vulnerable to being physically attacked, so if you put him against a swordsman or archer without backup he will have a tough time winning in a straight up fight.

Personality

Because of his obsessive study he isn't much of a socializer, if in a conversation he will try to engage but will find it difficult to understand social cues and will often stutter or become nervous, which he is terrible at hiding.

Biography & Lore

For as long as he could remember, Gurnam was obsessed with magic. His parents weren't rich by any means, but they were well of enough to pay a local sorcerer to see if he had magic potential. The sorcerer deducted that he indeed carried the ability to manipulate magic. He was overjoyed and his parents allowed him to be apprenticed to the sorcerer. However, a few years into his apprenticeship, his parents died in a house fire. The sorcerer took him in and raised him from that point on. He tried drowning his grief in study, and his power grew much quicker than originally expected. It got to the point that he started learning spells that he wasn't ready for, and when he attempted one such spell, the sorcerer saved his life at the cost of his own. And so he kept himself in check, learning his boundaries well and slowly expanding them.
