The ghastly steed summons an ethereal horse[1] if it is gripped tightly. The horse can be ridden, but will slowly dissipate over time. After around half an hour it will vanish and cannot be summoned again for several days.

The horse will not tire whilst it has been summoned and will obey any verbal commands it is given.
