"I am a queen above all else."

Fiore Rozenelle is the Revenant Queen of Morticia and the High Commander of the Gratia Mortis Queensblade.

Appearance

Fiore is a lean woman with a pale complexion reflecting her death-like state. Her most notable features are the stain-glass looking rose markings on her body, which are the source of her powers. At first glance, one might mistake them for tattoos but they are most certainly not. Her horns are a sign of her cursed abilities.

Her attire consists of old-era garments. She wears one glove on her right and black, lacy bloomers along with her armor, however, she likes to wear as little armor as possible because it limits her mobility.

She tries to avoid wearing regular clothing because she feels "awkward" in them.

And as a pet peeve of hers, she finds long dresses "distasteful and uncomfortable."

Skills and Abilities

Her markings are the source of her powers; they grant her access to a plethora of hidden potential, but at the same time the markings keep those uncontrollable powers in check. Her abilities range from conjuring various weapons to commanding the undead.

When summoning weapons, she's able to wield a sword, an ax, a spear, daggers, etc. However, she can only wield one at a time and using a weapon siphons her energy.

She's also adept in the Dark Arts, but like summoning weapons it takes a lot more energy.

Physically, Fiore is agile and swift with her attacks.

If Fiore overuses her powers, she will succumb to Crystalline Stasis, a state where her mobility is severely limited and her body begins to crystallize.

Personality

As the future queen of her kingdom, she takes her duty and family name very seriously. She will not tolerate anyone who insults the Rozenelle name, but Fiore can be down-to-earth with others. She believes that one's birthright or class status does not mean they can treat others like expendable trash. Rather than admiring class status, Fiore values the character of others, even if their morals don't align with hers.

Quiet and refined, Fiore always exemplifies herself as such believing that first impressions do matter, regardless of the situation at hand. This level of eloquence is shown through her speech and actions.

Her eloquent nature and quiet demeanor often overshadows her sadistic tendencies. On the battlefield, she spares no mercy to her enemies. Fiore will take them as her personal "playthings" and she will torture her enemies until they "break" or when she's bored of them. She once said that "death is an escape for those who have lost."

Since she's been alive for 1800 years, Fiore is very knowledgeable in several fields, especially history and science. She is always willing to learn more about the world around her and her curiosity is easily peaked. Regarding her age, she feels inclined to treat others younger than her as naive children, despite her twenty-two-year-old appearance.

She is also perceptive of other supernatural beings other than humans, unfortunately, that can't be said about emotions or intents.

Her fierceness and peppery attitude can come across as stubborn and, to an extent, she can be difficult to work with. However, her compassion and devotion usually earns her the respect of subjects. She genuinely cares for others although her actions may not seem like it.

When meeting new people, she's eerily quiet or sometimes cold because she's a skeptic, but give her time and she will warm up to them and may put her trust in them.

As a gifted musician, Fiore can play the viola and is currently learning how to play the piano. Her singing ability has a lot to be desired, though.

Queen's Portrait

A Time to be Alive

Lord Lenard Rozenelle of Morticia and his wife Lady Florence were expected to have a beautiful healthy daughter as foreseen by a blind prophet. However, the prophet also warned of the child's birth to be "Accursed" and her birth would bring the own kingdom towards absolute ruin on her eighteenth birthday. Both Lord and Lady dismissed such claims and Florence gave birth. As it was tradition, the girl would be named after her mother's previous ancestors: Fiore Ale Rozenelle, the 8th princess of Morticia.

Fiore lived a mostly normal life during her childhood. Before "The Fall," she had blonde hair and a fair complexion. She was well-learned and bred to be a sophisticated young girl, as her parents expected. But when she was 5, her parents noticed rose-like marking on her chest and back. Florence feared that the prophet's foretelling may be true, but Lenard refused to believe it. He reassured himself and his wife that it must have been a blessing that would grant Fiore beauty for her entire life. But just in case, her parents decided to hide the markings as best they could. They never told anyone else of their daughter's odd markings, except the Clergy.

Growing up within the walls of the kingdom, Fiore was sheltered intensely by her parents. She spent her time learning how to play the viola when she was 6 and then moved on to the piano when she was 13. She also grew fond of the history of the world and the science behind alchemy. However, she longed to see the world outside the Northern Walls. When she'd ask her father if she could come with him, he'd politely decline and tell her that the castle is the safest place for her. Her mother would often take her to church to pray, which made Fiore a devout religious believer.

In her early teens, Fiore stain-glassed markings appeared across her body and Fiore's chest often glowed red. She claimed she saw awful creatures in her dreams killing innocent people. Worried, her parents took her to the Clergy to asses her. Once they revealed the markings, the bishop echoed the same words the profit said: she was cursed. There was nothing they could do except to burn a seal on her back to null the process. Her parents reluctantly agreed.

From there on, she hasn't had any nightmares or chest pains, but the markings continued to grow at a slow pace.

The Felled Princess: Death Ablaze

By the time her eighteenth birthday came, the rose tattoo was fully formed and the seal did its best to prevent the inevitable, but unfortunately, the Clergymen betrayed the royal family by revealing Fiore's unholy birth.

As a result, the people revolted with the Clergy. Lenard was brutally butchered by his own subjects while Florence was imprisoned and raped by her captures. She was then decreed as a heretic and then she was burned alive in front of the church for all to see, including Fiore who was forced to watch. It was there that she reached her breaking point.

As punishment for Fiore's birth, the Clergy decided to "cleanse" her by drowning her. Before drowning Fiore uttered a curse against the Clergy and the people and that she will return. The "cleansing" succeeded, killing her in the process. Fiore met an untimely watery end; her body drifting away in the water. The church became the ruling power in Nordica and everyone thought it was the end of the Rozenelle bloodline.

They were wrong.

Two years later, demons infested the kingdom. The church was ill-prepared to handle such evil, leaving thousands of people dead. Among the midst of the chaos, one woman, pale and silent, stood against the eternal damnation and slew the demons viciously. The bishop thanked the woman and she was hailed as a hero for a time. This only lasted for a short while because, as it turns out, she turned against them, killing the Bishop and mounting his head atop the church's highest grounds. She killed off the rest of the Clergy, save for a choir boy she took pity on. When the boy asked of her name, she answered this:

"Morticia's Corpse Queen: Fiore Ale Rozenelle VIII."
