Somewhere in the Empire, the Irongutt clan fell victim to a trio of witches who desired to take each and every dwarf and experiment on them. Ferev's mother, a priest, was lucky enough to hide Ferev under some rocks before the witches managed to capture her as well. For 7 days Ferev waited, until he was found by a Templar member.

Orphaned at a very young age, Ferev Irongutt was taken in by the Order of the Sundered Shield and raised to become a Templar. Having known no other life besides that of a Templar, Ferev has become a fanatic in exterminating all types of magic in the world. Despite his immaturity, he quickly garnered attention from the other Templars as a take-charge soldier, and at the age of 30, was placed in command of a small group of Templar soldiers. His very first action was to return to his birthplace, find the witches and behead them. While the mission wasn't as easy as he planned it to be, with it involving the slaying of his own, now undead mother, Ferev returned victorious. Upon his victory, he was granted the title 'Hag-Hunter' and today those under him bear the same title.

Appearance

Like most dwarves, Ferev is short and stocky. He tends to find time in the day to make sure his hair is well kept and skin clean, since 'magic and diseases are born in the same vein'. His copper tinted skin is marred with a few scars, but overall Ferev is considerably handsome by dwarf and even human standards.

Ferev's left shoulder is tattooed with the crest of the Order of the Sundered Shield and his right shoulder is tattooed with an emblem of a person burning on a stake (the symbol for the Hag Hunters)

Skills and Abilities

Combat Training: Raised in the Order of the Sundered Shield, Ferev is proficient with most weapons. While he prefers the Lucerne Hammer and the crossbow, he is very quick to utilize a shield and sword in battle as well.

Tactical Expertise: Being in charge of a small group of Templars, Ferev has become quite the tactician. While he will admit he isn't an expert is mass and siege warfare, he is certainly able to plan out small-time battles and raids, as well as calculating supplies needed for longer experiences.

Blacksmithing: Ferev has hand-crafted his entire armor, something he is quite proud of. Most members under his command and have earned his respect usually have some of their armor improved upon by Ferev in some way.

Knowledge of Magic: While not a practitioner, in his spare time (what little of it there is), Ferev reads books about magic and how it is used. He does this in hopes of finding an enemies weakness. He also tends to read books about the monsters that magic has supposedly made throughout the years.

Dwarven Mind and Body: Ferev is stubborn, and his body is the same. When Ferev puts his mind to something, he is very unlikely to give up, and has a stamina that will wear down most opponents.

Personality

Ferev is a very straightforward individual, never liking to consider if his words will come out offensive or not. While this has led to him butting heads with a few other members, Ferev is usually quick to point out that even though he sees things differently and refuses to apologize for what he says, he will always grudgingly work with another member if the cause is just.

Like most dwarves, Ferev is very stubborn, and when he has a goal in mind, nothing short of an order from his superiors will get him to stop, and even then he has been known to plan on how to accomplish his goal with a quick victory, just in case he gets an opportunity.

Ferev is also a spirited being. He has earned a few reprimands from his superiors for ignoring orders and taking people under his watch into battle for the sake of killing one mage. However, the results have spoken just as loudly, and for now the Templars allow Ferev to continue his work.

Not surprisingly for the circumstances of his birth and upbringing, Ferev has a deep loathing for any kind of magic. He has seen first hand some of the worse things magic has done to people, and as a result is always anxious to go on some kind of crusade.
