The daughter of a once-noble house in the Empire, Eris was taken at an early age to the Arethiin Order's mage school in the Ixchel Wilds, where she rose through the ranks there, eventually attaining in excess of forty links, denoting the rank of High Sorceress. Though her house fell into ruin while she was away, Eris learned a more refined style of politics from the masters of the Order, whose influence is widespread and yet subtle enough to remain largely unknown. Eris was sent into different places to spread the Order's influence and to weave the Order's plots.

It has been some years since Eris has returned to the Order. She does not speak of it, and it would be unclear to anyone who knew her -- even in the rare event of crossing paths with a fellow member of the Order -- just what her motivations are and who, if anyone, is guiding her hand now.
