Erin looks like what he is: a grizzled veteran of some kind of war. Standing tall, he is a proud man and looks the part. Erin tends towards severe and stoic, seldom smiling even when in good humor. His dark hair is streaked with stray silver. His facial features would serve quite well as granite edifices, all hard planes and sharp features. He is built athletically, unsurprising given his profession.

When not out hunting for ne'er-do-wells, he wears homespun cotton as often as fine clothes, although it is clear he is uncomfortable in social settings. Out in the field, he tends towards heavier armor. The man carries a veritable arsenal on him at all times; heavy two-handed sword, a pair of heavy knives, an unstrung bow, and a lighter short sword. He carries bow and blades on his back.

Erin has some skill with a bow, although no marksman by any measure.

He shines with his two-handed blade and knives. With no talent in magic, he has instead honed his skill with a blade. He has no flair and there is no beauty in his work; Erin prefers straight-forward violence where violence is warranted, powering through defenses rather than relying on swordplay and finesse to do the work in front of him.

As would be expected of an educated man of God, he does not solely rely upon strength of arms to solve his problems. He is capable of reasoning with others, and quite capable of taking charge of a situation and applying intellect rather than brawn where needed.

Erin is a man of faith. The word of God is law, as far as he is concerned.

A hard man with an unflinching devotion to the word of God, he is utterly uncompromising for those who go against His word. This has landed him in trouble in the past - after all, he is called the Black for executing one of the clergy for violating the Word themselves.

With those favored by God - the poor, the meek, the faithful - Erin is a generous soul, often one of the only ears some people can get to listen to their case. He will literally give the shirt off his own back to help those in need, or the last morsel of food or the last coin to his name. His faith demands it, but truthfully he would do so even if the Word did not speak such things.

For others, though - those exploiting the weak, profaning the Word, or generally being terrible people - there is no mercy. Thieves and liars and those abusing their position or power will receive no boon or blessing, no quarter or tears from the Black.
