A physician, alchemist, and practitioner of a magical discipline he refers to as Vibranics, which he touts primarily as a method utilizing magically enhanced vibrations to stimulate healing in his patients.

Appearance

When at work and when moving in public he is most often to be seen wearing attire more suited to plague workers - A wide brimmed hat atop a close fitting hood, beaked mask filled with aromatic herbs, full gloves and a long leather overcoat adorned with a wide variety of clapperless bells, chimes, and crystal rods strapped into place so as to prevent them from swaying into one another and ringing while he moves. A number of small hammers hang at his belt, made from a variety of metals and organic materials such as wood and bone.

When outside of his clinic he often carries a wooden box strapped to his back akin to a large backpack, with a small sheet of canvas secured tightly across the back - When untied and removed, it can be seen that this canvas is in place to prevent the numerous small drawers on the lower half, and the larger cabinet door on the upper half of the box from falling open while he moves, no doubt containing a variety of the herbs and tools he uses in his work.

In his personal life and in attendance to private affairs however, he presents himself in a well dressed and well groomed manner, with gentle blue eyes beneath thick eyelashes, a clean shave and neatly combed black hair - Unusually devoid of grey hairs despite the light wrinkles and slightly receded hairline suggesting a man of middling years, though if this is due to natural fortune, proof that his Vibranics have the ability to preserve a degree of youthfulness, obsessive plucking or simply the result of an alchemical dye is certainly a question to be asked. His skin is fair, if perhaps overly pale as his usual garb does not allow him to tan. Though he keeps himself in good physical shape, it is only to the extent that one might expect of a common physical laborer.

He often walks with a cane, though shows no signs of a limp suggesting this is a fashion choice rather than aid to a medical condition, but in the rare cases where he is seen without he instead sports a thin straight sabre at his hip, perhaps suggesting it is a tool of self defense as much as fashion.

Skills and Abilities

Trust me, I'm a Doctor - While some of his practices might be considered questionable by his peers, he nonetheless possesses solid practical skills when it comes to the core aspects of a physician. His ability to clean, stitch and bind injuries, set bones and even perform surgical procedures are the real deal.
His alchemical knowledge and the tinctures, poultices and potions produced from this knowledge can also be said to be effective... Or rather, those which follow more accepted formulas and processes are, though he is prone to experimenting with and selling more dubious concoctions at a discount, with less predictable results.

Vibranicist - Though he learned alchemy and some degree of elemental magics as a fundamental portion of his education, it is Vibranics where he places his interest and focus when it comes to his magical talents. Though creating and enhancing vibrations is not necessarily a new concept in magic, with roots of this found in both Geomancy and Aeromancy, Elliot has honed his magic into a specialized focus on vibration in its various forms, which he uses alongside his medical talents with the claim that natural vibrations are everywhere and can be leveraged or altered through the interaction of carefully manipulated artificial vibrations to accelerate healing, soothe pain, and dampen or even cure a range of maladies be they physical, mental or even spiritual in nature.

Though he would claim Vibranics to be primarily a healing art, and is himself adverse to violence, it is in truth not without teeth and he is quite capable of displaying the harmful applications of this art when forced to do so.

Personality

Often he may come across as stoic, though not in the sense of being emotionless but rather in that he tends not to indulge in knee-jerk reactions and strong displays of emotion, preferring to think things through rather than allowing his emotional reactions to lead him. He is less guarded about displays of mirth and joy however, readily showing these feelings when met with a humorous quip or a situation that tickles him just the right way.

He can, however, be obsessive at times. When he latches onto an idea or something else that strongly catches his attention, he can easily become overly invested in his pursuit and interest in whatever the object of his obsession may be, though most often this takes the form of his ideas about medicine, treatment of maladies and applications of Vibranics.
Further, he is compulsively strict about arrangements. His tools must be arranged in precisely the order and spacing he deems correct before he works, and when preparing an alchemical concoction for which he has an established recipe the ingredients must be prepared in the exact portions he has determined necessary, even if the amount he must add or subtract is granular to the point any seasoned alchemist would say it has no effect on the product.

Biography & Lore

Born to a family of bellmakers in Alliria, it can be said that Elliot was surrounded by vibrational implements since birth, perhaps leading to his later magical interests.
When his talent for magic was discovered, his parents were happy to fund his enrollment into a local school where he pursued an education primarily in the arts of Alchemy and Geomancy, and later he followed his interest in helping others directly by seeking education in the medical field.

Currently, he works as a physician and magician under the employ of the Attwater brothers, owners of the inn and tavern The Editorial, close to the Cortosi coast. While it is not on any major trade road, it still sees a lot of business from bandits, mercenaries, smugglers, grifters, and even pirates. They do receive other sorts of travelers, often because they are seeking something they can't purchase elsewhere and were directed by someone in-the-know... or they are simply there by mistake.

Beneath The Editorial, accessed through the cellar, is a sprawl of old ruins and cave systems that have been built upon and fitted to house an impressively large black market fondly referred to as The Showroom.

Elliot maintains a clinic by the name of The Pithiest Sanitarium within The Showroom. The bulk of his clients are the Bulls, the local mercenary guards employed by the Attwater brothers to maintain order in the market, and others injured in small scuffles within the market. Those seeking various questionable alchemical products, and those in need of medical aid who simply cannot risk being seen in a larger town where more skilled physicians are normally located also find their way to his clinic.
