Elis Chares
Elis Chares grew up on an orchard called Starlight Grove in Allir Reach. He was raised by his grandparents and grew to be very comfortable on the farm, preferring it over anywhere else. When he got older, his grandparents started hiring a hand to help with the orchard and pushing him to travel the world.
Appearance
An average height man who is muscular due to the years of work on the orchard. He has black wavy hair that he tends to keep short and a bit of a beard/mustache that he tries to keep trimmed. His eyes are brown and he has an old scar across the bridge of his nose.
Skills and Abilities
Note: Elis has no magical or combat ability. Anything listed below is not magic/combat focused.
Green Thumb
Years of working on an orchard and a small farm is why Elis has a particular knowledge about plants. He's able to identify common plants, mushrooms, etc. He also is quick to identify problems with crops or other plants like identifying plant-related diseases or whether a plant needs more water.
Animal Whisperer
Though he cannot speak to animals or command them, he is able to recognize animal body language and knows how to respond in turn. Years of working with farm animal also means he also knows when they're injured, sick or if something is wrong.
Woodworker/Crafting
Elis is particularly talented with woodworking and crafting items. When he was on the orchard, everything had to be made. If a fence broke, he was sent to fix it. If a table needed to be made from one of the dead trees, he would be in charge of making it. In his free time he can be found carving a toy or a small statue from wood.
Cook
Extensive knowledge of cooking. Even if a person were just to hand him random ingredients, he'd be able to whip up something delicious. He always tries to keep a bag of spices on him during his travels.
Babysitter
Elis works well with kids. The nearby village or one of the neighboring farms would ask him to keep an eye on their kids when they were too busy. From babies to teenagers, he's usually been the person put in charge of them. But he usually doesn't mind.

Personality
Elis is a gentle-hearted soft spoken man who tends to avoid change. The unknown is uncomfortable for him which is why he tries to avoid it and tends to cling to old habits for a sense of security. Elis genuinely likes helping out others, even if there's no reward or point to it. He isn't stupid enough to believe that anything good will come of being kind but he still likes to try. Hard work is something he jumps to and will do any job if somebody asks for it. Unfortunately, this results in people taking advantage of him. He's aware of it but he is too much of a people pleaser to tell them no.
