Everyone comes from humble beginnings, right? Right??
Elianora Ardor— or as she has recently taken to calling herself, Lady Elianora Gwenyth von Ardor— has. That didn't stop her from running away from home, though, and certainly won't stop her from pursuing adventure. "Running away" may be an incorrect phrase, though...

Appearance

Elianora Ardor is mostly common. She looks like a standard human with her tan skin and thick brown locks that wave down her back like river rapids; brown eyes that bear into the world around her, honest and nearly dark as pitch; well-sculpted hands, suited for fine craftmanship, rough and a bit calloused from doing just that; eyebrows carved from clay that complement softly-bowed lips, usually seeing pursed or chewed on while in thought, pointed ears from mingling fey blood, and cheekbones that were cut like precious stone. But she's common. Amongst a crowd, you couldn't pick her out. Everyone accumulates scars throughout their lifetime, so it's no surprise Elia has a few visible marks. However, underneath her clothes, she has a long, spindly figure making it's way down her back, like nerves extending from her spine.

Skills and Abilities

Elia is great at cooking with spice, but terrible otherwise. She's good at bluffing, which helps when she lies or gambles— which is rather often— and can hold a tune well. She can only just read in the common tongue decently, but writing in it is a hurdle she doesn't think she can get to anytime soon. She can easily pick up other languages, though she's only encountered regional dialects of the common tongue so far. Elia also has a great eye for detail, easily detecting discrepancies. (This also perpetuates her love of the gamble.)

Hunter-Gatherer
Growing up in a woody area, Elia learned from the hunters of the village to become a fairly decent hunter. She wasn't supposed to, but you can't stop a 12-year-old who's not afraid to jump out of her locked bedroom's window. After a few years, she was allowed to join them explicitly and further developed skills in tracking, identifying plants, and the martial aspects of hunting. She has a good aim and is more nimble than the adult men, so she would often take to incapacitating their targets before they stepped in with the killing blows. She never enjoyed that part.

Fiddle Me This
Her hometown of O'lthalas loved to celebrate on days bleak and sunny and everywhere in between. Her mother and father made up one of the many couples that would play music together. Both her parents tried to teach her how to play their respective instruments, but she took quicker to her father's fiddle than her mother's flute. On the day she left O'lthalas, she took her father's instrument with her unbeknownst to him.

Sorcery
Elia has demonstrated the ability to harness magick, but she has no teacher or outlet to practice other than on her own. It seems to be easier in some places than others...

Personality

While she might be offish at first, she trusts very easily and wishes that wasn't true. In addition, she presents herself as older (and gets away with it) though she looks her age. Determined once set upon a goal, but—with no direction—she can be moody and lazy. Unknowingly naive. She has a strong belief in right and wrong and what is fair and uses it to justify many of her actions. Easily flustered by attention.

Biography & Lore

[WIP]
Elianora Ardor grew up on the Eastern end of Liadain, in a small village not quite in Falwood, and not quite on the Aberresai Savannah: a little town named O'lthalas.[1] She grew up happy with little problems. Her parents were parents, and they would bicker form time to time, but they loved their only daughter. [something abt their position] [continue early life]

With nowhere to go, Elia set off to Elbion, in search of a teacher that could help cultivate her magic. Unfortunately for her, the folks in Elbion did not seem to want her and rejected her on terms of "unable to actually perform magic." And while that was (semi) true, it did hurt, and Elia was "forced" to leave Elbion, catching the Great Eastern Migration back to Alliria.[2]
