Ein was brought up in the last Dreadlord Academy class that graduated before the Revolution in Vel Anir.

As one of the best students in his class Ein excelled and even exceeded in many of the standards that most Dreadlords were judged in. Known particularly for great skill in his magic, Ein slid through his time at the Academy with little trouble. He graduated at the top of his class alongside his friend and rival, Mable.

Remarkably, despite his strength and place at the top of his class Ein seems to have maintained a generally good relationship with many of his peers. Though on more than a few missions those same classmates often seemed to meet with accidents and fates that cut their lives short.

After graduation Ein was placed in the Second Level and swore himself to House Weiroon, pledging his loyalty after the offer they made him.

During the Revolution itself Ein had been tasked with protecting a Weiroon interest in the Allirian Reach. The nascent Dreadlord only learned of what had happened back home three months after the Houses had already capitulated. With arrival of the news Ein also received a notice of recall, and he quickly returned home.

There he found himself in a new world, inducted into the Guard and a part of something he had never even conceived.

Ein's magic is that of the Phoenix.

A pyromancer of extreme strength and control, Ein has shown a remarkable mastery of his abilities ever since even his earliest year of the academy. Though his own flames are a bright blue, Ein is capable of controlling fire from any source around him.

Though his control over fire is immense, his abilities do not seem to stop there. He is capable of transforming himself into a great burning phoenix, sprouting wings of flame, and even healing his own wounds using the fires. His magic seems to stretch far, and his control of it has only increased as he's trained.

Of course, all of these abilities tax him, and like any mage he must suffer through the costs.
