Edison Attwater
Appearance
You would hardly believe that Edison is the same height as his oldest brother. A whole 40 pounds lighter, the youngest Attwater brother is slim, lanky, and lean. His dark, grey streaked hair is kept long and often messily tied back and his face is usually scruffy. He seems to prefer an intentionally disheveled state, wearing nice things but wearing them in such a way that he appears to disregard any care for their quality. If caught shirtless (which isn't uncommon), he has a very long, nasty, and noticeable scar from his lowest rib and down across his belly.
Skills and Abilities
Quick Mind, Quick Body - Edison is the least combat-inclined of his brothers, not having the bulk or the mind for swinging fists, but boy is he fast. Quick thinking and nimble reflexes are usually enough to get him out of trouble, and he can always rely on his brothers to handle the kind of trouble that fleetness can't.
Notice-Me-Not - Edison is the only of his brothers to have any known magical inclination, though it is a slight one. Somehow he is able to will himself to go unnoticed. Suddenly he is silent, uninteresting, and the eye seems to want to glaze and pass over him. While it does not make him invisible, he does seem to blend in better and it makes what might be obvious and unideal hiding spots for anyone else somehow work for him.
Big Boy Toys - Edison has a fondness for collecting tools and trinkets, and sometimes things with no obvious immediate use. Poison rings, smoke bombs, skeleton keys, pens with invisible ink, etc.

Personality
Being the most sociable of his brothers does not necessarily make him the kindest, and he may in fact be the most morally bankrupt. While Edison knows how to play nice and lead others along, he is the least worried about ruffling feathers when diplomacy doesn't actively suit his purposes. All of the Attwater brothers have an air of preparatory calm, much like lurking crocodiles, and Edison's manifests as what appears to be aloofness and laziness. Edison's vices also have the hardest grip on him of all the brothers. He is a hedonist, indulging in substances and pointless flings.
Biography & Lore
The Attwater brothers are well-known among the seedier sorts of Liadain for the sanctuary and services they provide from the inn and tavern they inherited from their father. The Editorial, close to the Cortosi coast, is not on any major trade road, but it still sees a lot of business from bandits, mercenaries, smugglers, grifters, and even pirates. They do receive other sorts of travelers, often because they are seeking something they can't purchase elsewhere and were directed by someone in-the-know... or they are simply there by mistake.
Beneath The Editorial, accessed through the cellar, is a sprawl of old ruins and cave systems that have been built upon and fitted to house an impressively large black market fondly referred to as The Showroom. Stalls, tents, and renovated structures spread in all directions and rotate stock dependent on which merchants have set up to hawk their wares. Food and entertainers tempt visitors to stay just a little while longer to peruse the goods. Order, though the term is used loosely, is kept by mercenary guards (affectionately called Bulls or Bullies in honor of the rowdy few that have complained about them) on the Attwater payroll.
Other than the cellar, The Showroom has a handful of access points throughout its cave system, each of which have been charted and are either blocked off or guarded. One such access point leads directly to the Cortosi Coast, where a coastal cave houses a modest wharf also overseen by the Bullies.
Edison is the youngest of the Attwater brothers. With his slightly more affable and energetic personality, he often plays the role of the "talker" for their business when a bit of diplomacy and a certain flavor of charm are necessary. He has had many flings and never seems to hold on to a friendship for long.
