Appearance

Edgar is a mountain. The man is immense. Towering tall, broad shouldered, and 300 pounds of mostly muscle. Being very square-shaped when you are very tall means taking up a lot of space. He keeps his hair clipped short and attempts to keep his face shaven, but usually by lunch it is shadowed again. He prefers simple, protective attire like thick gloves and heavy coats.

Skills and Abilities

The Muscle - Edgar puts his size to good use. A skilled brawler with only his hands and body, he is an absolute nightmare if you put a hammer or a shovel in those hands. He is tough, powerful, and has an immense tolerance for pain. This comes with the side-effect of an ungodly appetite.

How Did You Know That? - Edgar is actually the most well-read of his brothers. One might even consider him an intellectual. He is the most likely to have useful bits of random knowledge and know-how, but you would have a hard time getting him to admit to it and offer information freely if you are anyone other than one of his brothers.

Personality

The quietest brother with the largest presence, given his looming size and tendency to stare into your soul. Edgar is more patient than you might take him for, but also likely the last person whose patience you would want to meet the end of. He is blunt and standoffish, leaving the diplomacy and grace to his brothers. All of the Attwater brothers have an air of preparatory calm, much like lurking crocodiles, and Edgar's manifests as the silent judge, just waiting for an excuse to hammer your face in. Though his appearance and attitude may make people think he is the dullest of his brothers, Edison actually suspects he might be the smartest of the three.

Biography & Lore

The Attwater brothers are well-known among the seedier sorts of Liadain for the sanctuary and services they provide from the inn and tavern they inherited from their father. The Editorial, close to the Cortosi coast, is not on any major trade road, but it still sees a lot of business from bandits, mercenaries, smugglers, grifters, and even pirates. They do receive other sorts of travelers, often because they are seeking something they can't purchase elsewhere and were directed by someone in-the-know... or they are simply there by mistake.

Beneath The Editorial, accessed through the cellar, is a sprawl of old ruins and cave systems that have been built upon and fitted to house an impressively large black market fondly referred to as The Showroom. Stalls, tents, and renovated structures spread in all directions and rotate stock dependent on which merchants have set up to hawk their wares. Food and entertainers tempt visitors to stay just a little while longer to peruse the goods. Order, though the term is used loosely, is kept by mercenary guards (affectionately called Bulls or Bullies in honor of the rowdy few that have complained about them) on the Attwater payroll.

Other than the cellar, The Showroom has a handful of access points throughout its cave system, each of which have been charted and are either blocked off or guarded. One such access point leads directly to the Cortosi Coast, where a coastal cave houses a modest wharf also overseen by the Bullies.

Edgar is the middle brother. His large size and frequently dour countenance lend to him acting as the muscle for the brothers, despite the fact that Edwin could likely go toe-to-toe with him. Edgar has an on-and-off-again relationship with a captain that makes use of their wharf, though recently he has been losing interest in those games.
