Born in the capital of Aniria, the Rogue Dreadlord simply known as Duncan Eidreich was born to a relatively minor Noble House.

Though still maintaining their titles, by the time Duncan had been born his family had fallen far from their heights. Originally born from the heroics of one of their Ancestors in the first Elven war, over the lasting centuries the family had failed to produce much of anything more, mostly because they did not want to.

Content with their station, the family never espoused to reach grander heights. The role of a minor noble suiting several generations just fine.

It was Duncan's own mother who broke this trend. Spending most of her life in a desperate attempt to rise above her station. It was this ambition that drove her to several torrid affairs with powerful Dreadlords. Eventually these couplings resulted in a child. It was her hope that this child would hold the power of his father, an aspiration that was quickly dashed.

When young boy's magic first began to manifest, it seemed to insignifcant that the Proctor's very nearly rejected Duncan's candidacy. Only taking the young boy to the Academy when his own father intervened, insisting that the boy would make something of himself.

Though this was perhaps a strange foretelling of Duncan's eventual fate, it was a prophecy which remined in doubt for quite some time.

Throughout his years at the Academy, Duncan was bullied, vilified, and picked apart. Barely scraping by on the training field and often failing where others succeeded without much thought or trouble. It was only in his studies tht the boy excelled, far exceeding the lessons taught by any Proctor. A fact which eventually caught the eye of Archon Gilram Thremir.

The Archon judged Duncan's magic in a different way, not through the brutality of the Academy, but the cleverness of a man who had walked through the world of many magics. Through his tutelage, Duncan began to excel, able to use his magic in new and far more fascinating ways than before.

Still graduating as only a Fourth Level, the young Dreadlord managed to swear himself to his own families House. Though was conditioned on doing so by permanently tying himself to the Archon who had taught him.

For the next decade, Duncan served Gilram loyally. Accomplishing many things, and traveling far beyond the reaches of Vel Anir in order to hone his skills and magics. It was during this time that Duncan managed to gain some reputation for himself, being one of the few Dreadlords who managed to dig himself up to the Second Level from the Fourth.

When the Revolution broke out, Duncan was nowhere to be seen.

Off-in far away lands alongside his Archon, the two returned to find a city that was very much different than one they had departed from. It did not take long for the two of them to make their choice, and shortly after he and Gilram both went began a rebellion of their own.

Skills and Abilities

Duncan's magic is an odd one within the Dreadlords. Not offensive, defensive, or of any nature which many would consider within the standard. Though still a Sorcerer, Duncan's abilities mark him as an outlier, often in his youth described as next to useless.

His abilities, simply put, are that of an exactingly precise eidetic memory. Every single thing Duncan has ever heard, read, seen, felt, or has been impressed upon him in some way is stored within the confines of a 'vault' in his mind. This vault is only accessible through his magic, and he can call upon it within the flash of a second.

Many would argue this is no magic at all, but the truth is Duncan's abilities are more than the human mind could bare while still functioning properly. If pressed, he could recall a singular blade of grass that crunched beneath his feet twenty years ago as twelve year old.

At first this ability was deemed almost useless, and many assumed Duncan would end up either dead or as an Archivist in Vel Arcan.

When Gilram took him under his wing, Duncan quickly learned just how dangerous his magic could be if properly honed and utilized. Though Dreadlords generally train in their own talents, they are still taught a variety of college magic. Magic which relies on the study of spells, rituals, and runes. All things that Duncan excelled at memorizing and utilizing in extremely creative ways due to his own natural talent.

In short, Duncan's mind is a massive spellbook, capable of being filled with an endless amount of knowledge.

This capacity for versatility made Duncan an extremely successful Dreadlord, and he remains one of the more dangerous Rogue's simply because of his potential.
