Appearance
『Physical』
Diedrick is tall, muscular, with long limbs and a toned, if not slightly bulky physique. His most notable trait is his mop of messy, dark brown hair that is comparable to seaweed. His face can be considered handsome due to its sharp and symmetrical features. His eyes are honey-colored, golden even. They glister faintly when directly exposed to light sources. He is neither littered with scars nor covered in tattoos. Other than the muscularity, Diedrick appears perfectly mundane to the naked eye.
One might assume that his muscles are a side effect of an active lifestyle, but that could not be further from the truth. In reality, both his imposing height and strong muscles are a by-product of the symbiote. The symbiotic parasite attached to his central nervous system directly influenced his pituitary gland and gonads from the moment the two came into contact. This process carried on well into his early twenties, by which he was already head and shoulders above his peers. His body is not only a thing of immense grace and beauty to watch in action, but of supreme functionality; lightning-fast reflexes, supreme flexibility, superhuman power, feline grace, and muscularity combined in one total -- and very lethal -- package.
『Attire』
Diedrick is no fashion guru and prefers utility-oriented clothes over those that look pretty to the onlookers. To cover his lower body, he wears a pair of dark green, pine-colored trousers. Diedrick uses these pockets to store trinkets or valuable objects. Mostly weapons. Diedrick pairs them up with tactical combat boots. His boots are entirely black, designed to provide a combination of grip, ankle stability, and foot protection suitable for a rugged environment. A combo between hardened, waterproof leather and nylon side panels frames his boots. The panels improve ventilation and comfort. It is worth mentioning that the tips of his footwear are reinforced with metal, allowing his kicks to shatter bones and crack skulls more easily.
He'll sometimes wear long, loose robes that obscure his frame, but only on the days when no work is conducted.

Skills and Abilities
Shapeshifting
The user can change their bodily constitution via low-level reality warping. This allows them to increase their physical stats such as strength, speed, and durability, as well as altering the overall shape and form of their frame. One can grow new limbs, organs, and weapons from their body. These new forms usually don't follow our laws of physics to the point, courtesy of their supernatural origin. The user has complete control over one’s muscles, bones, veins, neurons, etc. being able to move with remarkable grace, athletic and acrobatic skill. Some users can control their flesh and blood to move at both their conscious and subconscious command. The shape-shifting is achieved through a symbiotic organism attached to Alexander's central nervous system.
The changes can vary in scope and complexity, from altering the working mechanics of already existing body parts/organs to creating entirely new growths. One can use this ability to rapidly change their physiology down to the smallest details, which is extremely useful when facing different types of does with different types of abilities. Furthermore, the Tyrant symbiote is directly connected to the user's nervous system, meaning that it can exert control over individual portions of the body that otherwise couldn't be consciously manipulated.
Drawbacks
Physical alterations drain a finite amount of energy from the host's body. How much energy the change takes depends on its potency, complexity, and sometimes volume in cases where the host is growing entirely new body parts. Greater volume, potency, or complexity require larger amounts of energy to manifest. For example, growing new appendages takes more energy than increasing one's baseline stats, for reasons of both complexity and volume. Turning raw energy into new matter requires more effort than simply using said energy to augment something that already exists. Likewise, the size and strength/durability of said limbs can affect how much energy they drain.
Another example, growing a sword out of the host's body is easier than making a functional crossbow, for obvious reasons. Making an energy weapon is more tasking than a crossbow and so on. There is a limited duration during which the host can utilize the symbiote. Once the symbiote's energy has been fully drained, it will go into a dormant state, which can last anywhere from several minutes to several hours depending on how exhausted it is.
Regeneration can take different amounts of time based on the size and the severity of wounds; as well as the type of tissue that was damaged. Say, muscle tissue and fat is easier to restore than complex organs or even bones. So while healing a cut across the chest where no organs are damaged can take just a few minutes, regrowing a limb or something like a vital organ can take several times that long. It should be noted that regenerating complex tissues or large quantities of it requires significantly more energy. That's why healing a torn biceps is much less tasking than say, regrowing eyeballs.
Weaknesses
There are several. Extensive damage to the central nervous system can kill both the user and the symbiote at the same time, nullifying any regenerative abilities. Extreme cold is also dangerous as it slows down the metabolic processes, making it harder for the Tyrant to activate the shape-shifting, it can also kill the parasite itself through overexposure. Lack of oxygen can lead to irreversible brain damage, beyond the point at which the Tyrant can repair it. If the brain shuts down fully Diedrick's bodily functions will cease, killing both him and the parasite as they both rely on the same source of nutrients and energy. So choking him for long enough, drowning him, or destroying his airways multiple times/severely enough that he spends a significant amount of time without oxygen is an effective way to kill him.
Exposure to high heat such as fire, lava, or molten metal can be detrimental. Heat damages organic tissues, denaturing them and making it harder for Diedrick to regenerate/create new tissues and materials. One could immolate him enough to the point where he no longer has enough energy to regenerate or retaliate, another effective way to kill him. The last weakness would be potent neurotoxins. Diedrick Can survive them, courtesy of his reinforced biology, but not without side effects. Venoms/poisons that target the central nervous system will have detrimental effects on the Tyrant, decreasing Diedrick's motor and cognitive functions despite not outright killing him. Diedrick compares the sensation to being drunk, drowsy, or drugged up on hallucinogenic substances.

Tyrant parasite
The organism is called “Tyrant”. In its resting state, it takes the form of complicated circuits and mutagenic sacs around Diedrick's spine. When activated, it rapidly spreads across Diedrick's body, mutating him into the combat-ready state. In its active state (before it merged with a compatible host) the Tyrant flayer greatly resembles a pair of skeletal hands fused, with a spine-like tail. It has eight long, finger-like legs which allow it to crawl rapidly, and a long tail adapted for making great leaps. These particular appendages give it an appearance somewhat comparable to Chelicerate arthropods such as arachnids and horseshoe crabs.
The Tyrant-type symbiotes are transplanted into a host body when they are at an extremely underdeveloped, infant stage of development. Planting itself onto the brain stem, the symbiote begins to grow, slowly getting acquainted with its bearer. Once the tyrant burrows its tails into the body (which can be accomplished by piercing the skin in the neck), the parasite begins to wrap itself around the spinal cord. The symbiote then weaves itself around the nervous system where thin filaments are extended that go up into the brain itself.
During its growth phase, the host and the symbiote begin to sync, their thoughts and actions gradually overlapping each other. Tyrant Symbiote will release potent chemicals during combat encounters, the chemicals cause a strong feeling of euphoria and ecstasy, compelling the host to fight with greater ferocity than they normally would. The Tyrant's ability to process complex thoughts allows it to keep track of Diedrick's movements, bodily functions, and brain activity, meaning that it can correct any less-than-precise movements mid-combat.
Tyrant is not prone to interfering with its hosts' thought process, but Diedrick's survival is in its best interest, if his body ceases to function they both do. That is why Tyrant has a fail-safe mechanism in case Diedrick goes out of commission or makes decisions that could possibly threaten both his life and the life of the symbiote he shares his body with. In these situations the Tyrant can temporarily hijack the body from Diedrick, acting on its own accord for brief periods. It should be noted that Tyrant is highly resistant to mind-altering toxins and mind-altering esoteric abilities, making it a perfect backup in case Diedrick gets mind-whammied.
Tyrants are as magical as they are biological and it is impossible to say how many of them are out there or how they even reproduce in the first place. It is highly unlikely that Tyrants are a naturally occurring phenomenon. It'd be more plausible to say that they are some sort of magically engineered bioweapons from days old. Multiple traits would indicate this, the most glaring one being that Tyrants can't properly sync with hosts past a certain age. Tyrants are only capable of creating a perfect symbiotic relationship with an underdeveloped humanoid, preferably one that hasn't hit puberty yet. In cases where a Tyrant has been observed infecting a person whose body is fully developed; the host loses their higher brain function (and with it, their sapient thoughts), rendering them hyper-aggressive and incapable of reason or rational thought. Some go completely insane, becoming unresponsive, while others retain some level of animalistic cunning and develop a strong craving for living flesh. Necrosis, particularly of the brain, occurs in such significance that the hosts can and have been mistaken for the undead.

Personality
Diedrick is a jolly type of guy, smiling, even laughing in and out of combat. He is always there to brighten up the mood by throwing cheeky, sometimes slightly inappropriate jokes. He is the kind of person you would expect to sit around the campfire, drinking beer while telling bits and pieces of his life story to newly acquired friends. But not everything is as it seems. For all his friendly and even affable behavior, Diedrick has quite a few flaws. The first and foremost being his bluntness. He is an honest man, sometimes too much. It is this honesty that often gets him in trouble. Sometimes people don't want honesty, sometimes they prefer to stay oblivious, but he shoves the truth down their throats regardless. This behavior makes him come off as a bit harsh and threatening.
He takes ownership of his actions and any ensuing consequences without trying to find a scapegoat. Diedrick is a person with high intellect but underdeveloped wisdom. Diedrick is aware of his inability to make suitable decisions, so he identifies with those who seem able. Contrary to what you may assume, Diedrick does not choose violence because it is his only tool. He picks it when it is the most effective one. His abilities heavily reflect the fact since they are simple, straightforward, and effective.
Diedrick is a man of dedication, persistence, and sheer fucking will. In a way, Diedrick is a seeker of self-improvement, thrill. Hell, you could call him a creature of pure, unadulterated desire. He is sometimes a contrarian and an asshole to those who annoy him. Yet, his chilled and lax attitude suppresses the negative traits more often than not. It is not to say that Diedrick lacks vindictiveness. He can be. Diedrick can go out of his way to intentionally inflict suffering upon someone if they have wronged him. He rarely brings his true might to bear against weaker opponents and pulls his punches before killing blows. However, in the rare case where he is angered, his wrath is fearsome and relentless.
The Tyrant does not display any form of moral restraint when it comes to keeping its host, and by the extension itself, alive. Therefore it is capable of committing any number of inhumanely atrocious acts for the sake of self-preservation. Despite being sapient, its behavior is alien when compared to that of a human. Whether the creature is incapable of applying empathy or merely chooses not to do so is up for debate. Nonetheless, due to its direct connection to Diedrick's mind, the symbiote is more than capable of not only seeing his thoughts but subtly altering them.
Hobbies and Interests
Diedrick enjoys immersing himself in all things related to the betterment of physical Abilities. He was born as a sickly boy, suffering from a genetic disease that made his immune system extremely weak, stunting his growth. After acquiring the Tyrant parasite, he gained exceptional athletic abilities, hence why Diedrick started to excel in this field. In truth, the young man was pretty much hopeless at one point, with a body so frail that a common cold could kill it. In time he developed a complex regarding physical disabilities and weakness, to which he harbors a deeply rooted feeling of disgust.
Diedrick does not see combat as just a means-to-an-end, but as an art form too. To him, it is incredibly complex, with far more depth than most would assume. You could say that Diedrick is somewhat of a combat philosopher due to his desire to look at violence from a thoughtful and even sophisticated standpoint. Such desires compelled him to seek knowledge regarding anatomy, physics, chemistry, biomechanics, and much more to build a perfect body.

Biography & Lore
Diedrick was born as a son of a wealthy and slightly eccentric researcher, professor Abraham Rivendare. Mister Rivendare was and still is a professor at the Elbion College, acting both as a tutor and a researcher of archaeology. The Man has traveled through much of the world, finding numerous valuable artifacts while uncovering ancient ruins of civilizations long forgotten. He married a common woman, Cecilia Brack. The two had a son, Diedrick Rivendare, and a younger daughter, Anastasia Rivendare. Cecilia had a genetic disease in her family that could spread from the female line, making it heritable. Diedrick wasn't aware of this fact and neither was Cecilia since she didn't display any outward symptoms of it. The same cannot be said for her children, who both started displaying the disease's trademark symptoms at different ages. Anastasia passed away when she was around four years old, and Diedrick started getting increasingly sickly around his ninth birthday. The heritable disease gave them a weakened immune system, meaning that both children could die from something as small and insignificant as a common cold. Anastasia died of seasonal flu and her brother had several bouts of severe pneumonia from age 9 to 11.
The Tyrant symbiote was bound to Diedrick when he was 11 years old to save his fleeting life from the disease. The disease itself was complex, affecting the body's collective immune response which meant that it couldn't be healed without significantly altering the composition of the afflicted body. The Tyrant did just that to save him. It's unknown as to how Abraham got his hands on the parasitic entity, though it is speculated that one of his archeologists smuggled it to him. The College would never condone something as severe as human experimentation, but the act itself was performed entirely out of desperation. Thankfully Diedrick survived the binding process with the absence of any serious complications. The boy's body was effectively rebuilt by the parasite, altering its inner mechanics in order to suit itself better and keep the host (Diedrick) alive.
From that point on Diedrick has been co-existing with the parasitic symbiote within his body. His father never seemed too shaken with the prospect of what he had done, something that Diedrick still has issues with. Nonetheless, years of living "together" dulled him out to the fact that he isn't alone within the confinements of his being and that someone is constantly with him 24/7. His life did take a drastic turn after he was cured of his illness. Diedrick became much more outgoing, sometimes accompanying his father on the travels. The newly found ability to go outside without worrying that he might die from a mundane illness was nothing short of a blessing to young Diedrick who embraced it wholeheartedly.
