Derian Tucker
Biography & Lore
Derian Tucker is a lonesome, lost wanderer who now spends his time away from his old home, ravaging off the wilderness's nourishments near his homeland: Vel Anir. He was raised up by his peddler father, and mother, who had a "secret" life of her own as a fairly known tramp of the lower common quarters. He felt shame and loneliness growing up as he raised himself with his parents absent on often occasions through his younger days. As we grew up he worked to keep the house clean and himself fed with whatever his mother and father brought in separately.
Living with distant parents caused a rough upbringing on top of the constant mugging that occurred to him and his mother, after her wrenching local vagrants inside their musky Wattle. He tried to avoid the local youth who played near the rat-ways by his home because they would deride him about his mother's dirty works and the older lads and lass would call him a bastard for reasons he didn't understand, at the time. He soon grew used to running from the Weasley Boys who would kick at him as he sped away to the wilderness, that was not far from his home that was settled on the outer edge of the commoner's belt within Vel Anir (even after being told to stay and watch near home by his father).
He fled from his quiet homestead to the forests of Falwood for few hours at a time, a couple times a week and explore alone. He used the forest as a common venture to get his mind off his stomach and rough home-life. He stayed tough through his common outdoor injuries that his father cursed to be the local children's harsh torment on him. He held in the truth over his father's aggressive acts towards his mother, that he now grew to know their causes.
Derian grew older now and soon forgot the sound of his mother's voice and grew more comfortable with hearing the noise of local arguments and cunning bargains that scattered the streets around his home. He felt his presence to be an acquired hassle as his father grew quieter over his bi-weekly supper with him. The old Wattle grew quiet and limp quickly after Derian claimed the name of a Black Sheep by the children for his father's leave (which he foolishly saw as a unique name to own, seeing it as he is a special person amongst the sheep that waddled through the faceless streets). He grew more hungry breaking into his teen years as his father came to no return,
Derian learned to gather resources outside in the wilderness to keep himself standing. The only issue was that no one had leads to hire the lonely lad, which caused the lords to winch his homestead down to eviction. Derian grew tired of the adversity of his lonely city life within Vel Anir and began to pack what was left within his home. Taking his father's forgotten stash that he once sought to protect from his mother in turn for sweets. He forgot his love for a pretty lass named Alina, who pitied his loneliness and used to indulge him with word to express her longing to comfort his angsts. He forgot all that was and remembered all to what is as he grew to an age of wisdom and finally broke away from his Wattle that had vermin who grew welcomed to his home.
Derian packed away all he could in his father's old peddling bag that was retired due to many scrapes and tears. He used the coin he found to buy a new attire and a few weaponry to defend himself for fear to run across another boar, as he did as a child, and a few looters from time-to-time. He was now stronger and brave and retreated from his home, plowing through the city crowd till he breached into the forest floor. He let go the thoughts of what was then and he moved forward and looked for adventure as he did as a young lad. With the slower passing days, he learned the true meaning to his livelihood and quickly forgot Vel Anir.
Derian now ventures the forests all around, only making stops in communes to relieve himself from the constant loneliness. He kept from poor temptations and never grew too close to any stranger he was welcomed and greeted to. He always finds himself back in the wilderness using the resources to make a new home wherever he settled at every night. Hunting game and evading from looters and bear was a common activity but he soon grew wiser and ambushed them before they had a chance to steal from him again. His strengths grew stronger as he resisted his mind and relied on instinct, now living a life as a wanderer with no lord or reign to claim his estates, name, or livelihood.
