Danric Ironwood
Overview
Appearance
Danric is a slightly above average height, male Elf with hair a rich auburn color and cropped far shorter than is favorable in most higher Elven circles. Also atypically, Danric sports a well trimmed beard, belying the rumor that Elves were incapable of such hair growth. His eyes are sharp, and show a cunning intelligence in their golden depths. He can typically be found wearing the colors of Maeth Parvelum, the Guardian Tower, where he was trained. The base colors are sable and crimson, and he can be found in the colors whenever possible.
Personality
Danric tends toward honorable and honest as his main descriptors, though he is hardly forthright. He can be intense at times, especially as situations get more intense themselves. Those closest to him know that he endeavours to learn how to better relax with comrades, though that is far from a natural state for him.

Biography & Lore
History
The Early Years
Danric was born in the Fal'Addan city of Fal'Carys, home of Maeth Parvelum (the Guardian Tower). The city is one of the most strict with regards to Elven hierarchy, largely due to the large number of Maethor caste warriors and their primary training center, Maeth Parvelum. As is typical within the Maethor caste, Danric never knew his parents, instead having been raised in a communal setting. It was believed that this taught the Maethor warriors to think of their community first, rather than self or family.
Ironwood School
When he reached the age of 8, Danric was placed in the Ironwood School, which was one of several schools in Fal'Carys where children were trained prior to entering Maeth Parvelum. Danric excelled in his lessons here, more than earning his way into the Guardian Tower. He did fall behind in one aspect of life, he appeared to have little capacity for magic, which was odd for a race largely comprised of wizards, druids, and various other types of spellcasters. Nonetheless, he did not let this slow him down, and indeed asked for ever more training in how to combat spellcasters as a way to even the field against them.
Maeth Parvelum
At the age of twenty-five, Danric entered Maeth Parvelum and became a Bor (hand in Elvish). At this level of instruction he spent many hours learning to meditate and fight open handed. It is only after passing a grueling test in hand to hand combat that a Bor is awarded the rank of Magol (sword in Elvish). This level of instruction introduces weapons and lore training. In order to graduate from the rank of Magol, the student needs to pass a test in bladework as well as undertaking an hours long verbal examination by the Herdiri (masters) of Maeth Parvelum. Once this has been satisfactorily passed, the student must train a class of Bor rank students under the watchful eyes of the Herdiri as a Penedh. This stage takes several years, as the Penedh must have the majority of their Bor ranked students attain Magol rank. Once this has happened, the Penedh becomes a Padari and goes on a journey through the wider world to gain experience before they can return and train for the rank of Herdir.
Danric is currently wandering on his Padari journey, having recently granted his last Bor ranked student the rank of Magol. He had insisted to his Hediri that he needed to make sure all of his students had made Magol or he wouldn't have been satisfied. Such a thing is not uncommon, but also not the norm.
