Cassius Amore
Cassius is often mistaken for being aloof and hollow. In reality, Cassius just functions on a lower emotional frequency than others. He has the capability to feel emotions at a normal level, but that is an extreme occurrence for him. Such a sight is rare.
As a dreadlord, some think him incredible and some think him abysmal. He has amazing magical potential to alter a battlefield but resents when he his forced to kill. He has killed, and likely will again, but has never forgotten the face of anyone whose life he’s taken and can often be found writing letters to the deceased.
Appearance
Cassius is a skinny fellow. Not sickly or really gangly, just generically thin and unimposing. Is hair is long and straight but the futility of the care he puts into it makes it writhe and curl. His hair is often messy but retains a sort of sleek appearance throughout its treatment. His eyes seem to be a pale yellow, with green outliers that compliment the color in an unusual way. His features are pointed but seem soft due to his demeanor.
Skills and Abilities
An Abomination of Static
There isn’t much Cassius is known for. The young man lacks in strength and often uses daggers or bows if a more traditional combative approach is required. He prefers, if he has to kill, to make it as quick and painless as possible and has a good idea on where to plant his attacks.
This is however a huge secondary departure from his magic which is the main reason anyone knows his name.
’The Leech’ is what a lot of other Dreadlords have called him in passing and so the nickname sort of stuck. Cassius‘ magic allows him to drain the entirety of an emotion from someone upon touch. If this is successful, the emotion is transferred to Cassius as a result. Along with it’s level of intensity.
Seeing as he himself does not feel at a very high level, this will initially send him into shock upon activation. The emotion briefly overwhelms the mage as he tries to get a hold on it. Once the emotion as settled, he lives in it for the duration which is often determined by his level of energy. If he is exhausted the emotion will fade and he will return to his state of low feeling.
However
While this emotion he has stolen is active, he can channel its energy into an element determined by the emotion.

Personality
Despite all odds, Cassius seems to be somewhat of a pleasure to be around. While he may be considered a tad boring, he has a lot of interests that he enjoys talking about. Cassius is fascinated by monsters, insects and other things as far torn from humankind as possible. He finds that happiness faintly appears when talks about these things. He is kind and patient and listens to those around him intently. When he feels faint friendship, it is one of the best emotions he’s been able to muster. He is an avid writer and often writes letters to those he‘s killed or to his fellow dreadlords though he never sends them.
Biography & Lore
From early in Cassius’ life; his parents learned to never put a hand on him. When he was able to go to the bathroom and walk he never received physical affection again. Both his mother and father were more than happy to learn that the dreadlord initiative would be taking him. Not being from Vel Anir originally, they hadn’t known it would occur. When they found out, they celebrated his departure.
It was clear to the proctors that Cassius would never be a force to be reckoned with. He was meek and timid and far too passive to be an excellent killer. His magic is what enticed them to expand on his abilities. Once they learned what he could do it was clear he would make an incredible political weapon. Ripping the courage from opposing leaders, eliminating their drive and causing ceasefire from their lethargy.
He did fairly well as an initiate due to this circumstances. His explosive power granted when he used it proved to be more an asset than expected. Though he had very little combat prowess, the abilities he could conjure made up for talent in raw power.
Graduated and now a level four, he is used sparingly as a weapon in larger combats but spends most of his days in patrol and writing incident reports.
The Split Incident
A scouting party went to track riot inciters that had fled Vel Anir while Cassius was still an initiate. The trip went ass up when their party was ambushed by the people they were chasing and a large fight ensued.
This is the only known and witnessed account of Cassius triggering two separate emotions at one time.
The rioters were prepared to fight dreadlords and the loss of life predicted would amount to the whole party. Cassius was grabbed by two men, each by one of his arms. One transferred immense hate to Cassius and the other transferred immense fear into him.
In a split second, dozens of illusory versions of Cassius appeared, all looking terrified. They in unison all began to scream bloody murder at the top of their lungs. The opera of despair filled the entire Falwood as the rioters began to explode into pieces of flesh and bone due to the hatred that had been transferred as well. Within a minute, the dreadlords opponents had been reduced to puddles of their former selves, leaving viscera and gore painted on the nearby wildlife.
The incident was renowned as a successful operation but Cassius and the others in the party do not speak on the matter.
