Skills and Abilities

Force Manipulation: Caeso commands the very principle of force itself. He is able to generate Forcewaves, pushes or pulls in various directions. Upon himself he can increase the force applied by his muscles, Enhancing actions like punching or jumping, and imbuing himself with unparalleled strength as a result. Defensively he can utilize Forcefields, slowing down incoming attacks such that they cannot even damage his armor or dispersing incoming magical energy such that it is rendered meek or powerless.

Overuse of Force Manipulation will lead to arcane fatigue, symptoms of whiplash and/or a severe concussion, and eventually death.

Martial Training: Dreadlord training has granted Caeso a proficiency with a wide variety of differing weapons. His favorite fighting style is dual wielding, since he has little need for a shield and is quite ambidextrous.

Personality and Characteristics

Major

* Accords himself with dignity, as he sees it befitting of his noble blood. He is highly disdainful of actions he views as undignified. Though he is absolutely a firebrand and is openly passionate about what he believes in, he strives to do so in a manner that is measured. Chastises himself if he feels as though he has behaved in a brutish manner.

* Haughty and steadfast champion of the noble cause and of the old Anirian oligarchy (and truly for anything or anyone he supports). Brooks no word to the contrary.

* Believes the world operates by an inescapable axiom: that "right" is merely a question between equals in power, and therefore that morality has its true basis in power. All else is specious, all else is pretense. The strong do what they can, and the weak suffer what they must. Therefore, to overcome this cold law, one must ensure one's own strength in order to have a voice and to make any meaningful impact.

* Does not use profanity. Believes in eloquence of speech, and looks down on those who do not show this eloquence or who do not value the spoken word. Though he can, of course, be brusque under the right circumstances.

Minor

+ Very dry sense of humor.

+ Enjoys having vigorous debates on any subject.

+ Fussy about his attire, and loathes wearing anything that is not a perfect fit. Adores tailors for this reason. Intentionally staining someone's clothes with something like red wine is to him one of the highest insults that can be delivered.

+ Has a secret desire to be able to fly. Envious of those who can. Enjoys bird watching.

+ Fond of string instruments, and very much enjoys an orchestral performance.

Biography and Lore

Caeso and Quinctus.

The two sons of Sabian Diemut, Head of House Diemut. Even before their births, their father Sabian had met with a foreign soothsayer from the Empire. She told him of the future she saw.: that there would be three children he would sire, one daughter and two sons, and that his sons would both be gifted with magic.

And that one was destined to kill the other.

Most parents would have been horrified. Not Sabian Diemut. He was pleased. He told his wife nothing of the fortune the soothsayer relayed to him, and he was satisfied to see that, yes indeed, he did have two sons and then a daughter. Yes indeed, both of his sons showed signs of magic.

On the same day did Sabian report this to the Academy, and the brothers were thus enrolled together to become Dreadlords. Through a close friend who was a Proctor did Sabian keep awareness of the progress of his sons.

Delighted, was he, when the report came.

A fight had broken out between Caeso and Quinctus, aged thirteen and fourteen then, while they were on their first mission together. Caeso had reportedly slain his older brother.

Sabian smiled. His true son and heir to the Diemut name had been confirmed.
