Somewhat absent minded at times, the gnome has a deep obsession with perfecting and demonstrating his magical abilities in whatever venue he can find. He has inherited a wealth of gems from his master to aid him in this effort but he knows that one day his supply of gems will end and with it his way of powering his magic. And so he travels and is looking for a place to call home and with a little luck a patron to provide his magics towards. Bubkiss enchants stained glass windows, rings, armlets, clothes, mirrors and takes individual jobs as he comes across them. He has been known to take jobs for visual effects for theatre and music acts, as well as weddings and funerals.

Charitable and forthcoming, Bubkiss is often too forward with his love of illusions and demonstrations of them. It leads him to gain paying jobs, but quite often some headaches from people who might not appreciate his art. He has lived a life of seclusion in Falwood amongst the elves, learning his craft and living a quiet life with his master, a human who found solace in the forests of magic. Without his master, he has decided to venture out into the world to find fame, fortune, and a place to call home.

Bubkiss Widewallow is a bespectacled gnome with a long flowing white beard and moustache who has about his person a great deal of small satchels and bags that are filled with arcane components and instruments which he uses in his professional life to dazzle, amaze, stun and entertain. He dresses in purple jackets with a purple tophat, and wears numerous golden rings about his fingers. He has a small cane with a small blue gem atop of it, which is often incorperated into Bubkiss' acts of illusions. He possesses a pipe which has a concealed ruby at the bottom of it which glows when Bubkiss is performing illusionary magics upon his tobacco smoke.

Bubkiss can conjure grand displays of illusionary magics, creating dioramas of legendary heroes, mighty villains and fearsome monsters. He can use his illusions to enchant objects so that they can bring joy to those who employ him to enchant their possessions. The gnome's most common request is to enchant mirrors so that they might depict the user wearing all manner of finery and gaudy jewelry, and to enchant church mirrors so that they might depict the stories told within of saviours, demons and miracles.

Bubkiss has a healthy supply of gems to fuel his magics, and often affixes gems within his rings so that he might use magic more readily than reaching into his satchels and bags. He can dazzle opponents with fierce brightly coloured lights, stun them with focused beams towards his foe's eyes, and mislead his assaillants by creating illusionary copies of himself. When pressed, he can turn himself invisible, although his usually costs him an expensive gem to perform and not to be performed lightly.

About his person is a slingshot, where he takes ground up gems of various qualities so that he might use his slingshot to shock animals from attacking him, although he has found he has had to use this against the brigands and thieves of the world.

Bubkiss has a warm smile and a curious instinct which often lands himself into gainful employment and mischief with those who might not share his obsession with the illusionary arts. Often found smoking a pipe and enchanting the smoke, Bubkiss has lead a peaceful life of research and learning with his former master, and so is still getting used to the more aggressive and busy lives of those he meets. Bubkiss can talk for hours about his interests in magics, and often finds himself gaining a crowd when he displays his illusionary magics on the path of adventures. He is effusive towards those who appreciate his talents, as he finds great joy in the audiences he finds himself acquiring. Curious and adventurous, Bubkiss doesn't shy from danger when it presents itself, and thinks of himself as a good, honourable sort that would help a stranger in a time of need and is never cruel with his illusions. He enjoys a good tale, and is eager to learn more about the world from the people.
