Personality

While Brie is a woman born of a noble family, she has a hard time acting like it. She thinks dressing up at parties and going to gatherings and social mixers is absolutely droll. She prefers to go horseback riding or hiking and exploring along the coast. She was able to convince her parents to indulge her more active tendencies by getting a fencing tutor and has become quite the light-swords woman as well as proficient with throwing daggers. Of course she would never throw daggers in public. That's only for when she sneaks out to the local tavern at night, moonlighting as a commoner and winning card games and knife tosses.

Biography & Lore

As born a noblewoman, she has a duty to uphold to her family and is promised to eventually marry some mysterious lord. Of course Brie has no interest in this and lives each day to the fullest, by seizing every opportunity that comes her way. Even if she gets scolded for her actions, later. Once, she joined a ship for a fortnight without her parent's consent. When her parents asked why she did this, she explained it was the natural thing to do since she'd never been on a sea voyage before. She was promptly grounded for the next three months, forced to go to all kinds of social and upper-cruse gatherings wearing itchy and constricting gowns and dresses with shoes that pinched her toes.

Brie fell in love once. She knew the family's stable boy growing up. Eric Vondritch. She didn't realize Eric just saw her as another conquest until it was too late. After they had a passionate night in the barn under the stars, he left and never came back. It broke Brie's heart and she vowed to never be so easily fooled again. Her heart was broken not only because he left but also because he left her pregnant. Because it was a scandal that could ruin the family, it was kept quiet. And much to her family's relief but Brie's horror, she miscarried during her second trimester. She was forbidden to ever speak on any of this and it took her a good year to heal from the emotional impacts.

Brie has one younger brother, Timothy, who was born with a slight limp. She and Timothy are very close and she feels very protective of him. Brie would often bring him on adventures around the woods of their manor, against her mother's wishes. And Timothy loved spending as much time as he could outside with Brie, being smothered and sheltered due to his limp otherwise.
