When Bridget was young, her mother used to teach her to pray to the High Mother and ask for forgiveness on her behalf. The conception of Bridget was one that was not accepted widely, when Aella Shadowend had taken up a long term relationship with a mortal man and intended to raise her daughter away from the covens.

As a witchling, Bridget showed considerable influence in wielding the shadows of the world, and had spied on the home she had been denied of ever knowing. Her grandmother, Morilla Shadowend, could sense the witch of her blood and stole her to learn the ways of being in a coven. Despite the betrayal of her own daughter, Morilla assured the other clans that the situation would be handled.

In order to claim the love and praise of her hard as nails grandmother, Bridget came to the conclusion that in order to live peacefully within the covens of the clan, she needed to enact a merciful violence.

It was by her hand that she ended her mother and mortal father, proving to the Lady Mother that she was not just a tamed witchling. She was 16 when she earned the honour of being named Heir Daughter to the Sky Clan.

Her affinity for the skies and the shadows rival the Lady Mother's, and is known for being able to manipulate the shadows for whatever wish she had in wielding it. Bridget is able to hear the whispers from the shadows and commune with what lurks there.
