Bram Sigismund

"Discipline. Duty. Unyielding Will. These are the measures by which every warrior is judged. Unarmed, a warrior with these qualities will still find victory, no matter how long or arduous the path."
+++ Bram Sigismund, about the doctrine of House Sigismund +++

Bram Sigismund is the current ruler and head of House Sigismund in the city of Vel Anir. Even as a ruler of a noble house which is considered belonging to the minor ones, he commands a great amount of respect and renown. Considered to be most true to his nature and absolutely fierce in his views, Sigismund is an example of discipline and the power of will.

'Lord Stone' is one of the known and most popular nicknames, which he should never be addressed with though. His thunderous zeal, iron made manifest of will and dedication have earned him a reputation not to fool with. He has a naturally unjoyful facial expression, supported by bright, but cold green eyes with golden accents in it, topped by short cut white-blonde hair.

Proven in combat, both with his own hands and as a commander, he established House Sigismund as a major player inside the city walls of Vel Anir. His uncompromising leadership and yet pragmatical approaches which are utterly devoted to his own principles, make him an indomitable enemy, but also a true ally.

Appearance

Bram Sigismund stands very tall, measuring six feet and four inches, supported by an atheltic build, his weight shows barely any signs of a luxury life with 'only' 189lbs.
His facial features are distinctive and striking, hard, unsmiling and sharpe, there is no real joy nor fun to be ever found in his eyes or at his mouth which corners never point up. Supported by his very bright green eyes, which, when light is shining, are glancing with golden colour, it simply adds to the unyielding nature of his person. Topped with a short cut of white-blonde hair, strong edged eyebrows and a perfectly shaven face, Lord Sigismund stands as an example of his bloodline.

If not on a campaign, you will usually see Bram Sigismund with very simple garments of yellow and black colourings, of course of fine leather or linen, but still nothing fashionable or extravagant. As usual for his house, he sticks to tunics, togas and sandals in civili fashion.
Though when preparing for war or when training, you will usually see him in a set of artificial, gilded steel armour with equally styled gauntlets and greaves, he wears a heavy, black leather 'skirt' around his waist, as long as his knees. The chest piece shows the sigil of House Sigismund in golden ornaments and the rest of the armour shows decorations with lightning bolts.

Skills and Abilities

The head of House Sigismund is a proven administrator, ruler and commander, unifiying the traits of these different tasks to the standards of his own particular set of skills. His nature which strives for completeness, dutifulness and iron will, served him well so far in of the above mentioned areas.
Leading his house with a pragmatic, but iron hand in economical matters to achieve a certain prosperity which is directly put into the wheel of further advancement again, with a notable focus on military matters. The lands possessed by the Sigismund family are well managed and organised, with ridiculously low crime rates, thanks to a just rule and equally zealous overlordship.
On the battlefield and in war, the mind and skills of Bram Sigismund shine the most. He is a brilliant strategist and a very skilled tactician. He has an unnatural overview on the situation and spots flaws and mistakes of his enemies, before they even realise them.
Being kept fit and in shape is the result of a life-long training and devotion to be physically and mentally fit at all times. Being a good rider, a very good swordsman and decent hunter, the nobleman has no issue with getting his own hands dirty.

Though his skills do not come without price. His understanding of science, magic and other scholar-focused topics is rather lacking and he does not even wish to change that. In his view he has what is required and learning more would be a waste of time due to lacking or fewer focus.
Furthermore is sociability is at best days, difficult. He of course is a noble, behaves like one, but he is no fond of feasts, aristocratic courtesy and games played at court. Therefore he is very open to attacks which are not lead with a blade, but with words and whispers.
