Baenon
The ever impeccable Baenon. A highly skilled pursuer of the Erlking's targets, he became a prize acquisition of the Wild Hunt over a millennia ago. Having formerly tenured within the Winter Court as a sleuth and investigator for Queen Mab, he made a begrudging departure from his life of quietude amidst the tumult of the death of close friend Traynor. He's not only experienced in tracking down those who do not wish to be found, but has a calculating head on his shoulders as well as a chip or two.
Presently doing dirty work for a purpose he's never been quite in-line with among a cadre of fellow dog-minded fae in the Autumn Court, he's finding the life of the Wild Hunt isn't quite the glorious dream it had been made out to be. His sense of self preservation and order in his life having been fully perturbed, Baenon seems intent on doing something about it but finds himself incapable of sloughing off the expectations of others.
A jack of many trades and Master of a select few, Baen's talents include ley-tracking, breaking and entering, sniffing out irrefutable truths, squinting in distaste, cooking for one, symmetry and feng shui, making hasty exits of undesirable social gatherings, and cleaning up all manner of unholy messes.

Biography & Lore
The son of the unaffiliated black shuck Matriarch Venezia, Baen was born the runt of the litter in a pack that had no empathy or forgiveness for weak links. He alongside his 4 other littermates were raised in a killing pit and fed only when they were capable of muscling to the front. Being the smallest, Baen suffered malnutrition and starvation, managing only to get himself a meal when he otherwise outwitted his siblings. But a hungry Baen was not a happy Baen, and the hungrier he got the meaner he became. Eventually he turned his aggression into the fuel he needed to get ahead. He killed his siblings, ate them, and was rewarded for his malice. This began a very strong trend of sadism and malcontent from a very young age.
As Venezia's pack grew, her ambitions did, too. Stirring up trouble in all the wrong places earned her pack a target on their backs by the Erlking. They were decimated by the Wild Hunt - but the lone pup left in the killing pit had not been a known or expected entity. He was taken in by two within the Hunt: Asemir and Traynor, believing that he was young enough to mold into a useful hound for the Hunt.
Baen spent several centuries reared by his new handlers, learning to hunt and track - the latter a strong skill he presented early on in his training. Traynor also discovered Baen was smart, exceptionally so, and so when Baen showed little interest in joining the Hunt officially, he petitioned for the shuck to move to the Winter Court where he could receive a full and thorough education at the university. Baen accepted the offer of a home in Winter and excelled as a student. To this day he continues to attend the university at Winter, collecting degrees to his name like a hunter collects skins.
At the passing of Traynor during a Hunt, Baen felt the first sting of true loss in his life. Traynor being a father figure and confidant for Baen's many emotional challenges, the black shuck felt his ability to control himself slowly eroding. Asemir suggested returning to the Wild Hunt and using it as an outlet to vent his pent up emotions - and also to look into what had become a very suspicious circumstance for Traynor's death.
Baen did this and has spent the last millennia trying to find clues to the mystery while keeping his fellow Hunters at arms length. He maintains his home in Winter and offers his talents for tracking, investigation, and killing on contract to the Winter Queen and her Court.
