Ayara Vagrand
Appearance
Ayara largely looks the part of a typical teenager. Average height, average weight, and a fair complexion. Her face is speckled, and amber hair parallels the eyes. Though what sets her apart from the norm is the branding, or otherwise burned skin that stretches from the top of her temple to the bottom of her chin along the left side of her face. This, coupled with the added blindness in that clouded eye, makes her rather unmistakable.
Skills and Abilities
Possesses an affinity in the art of conjuring; Including spirts, demons, or other nefarious beings into the world as she sees fit. These can range from the benevolent, to the mundane and harmless, to those she seeks answers from, or those of whom she has bartered against or brokered with for a purpose. Some, however, may simply be beyond control.
Personality
Calculated and cautious. Those two words describe Ayara's personality. Always seen as the type to have a plan, even when things go sideways. She holds no lofty aura of ego, yet despite her lack of posturing, is both assertive and commanding.
Biography & Lore
Discovered early by the Proctors, Ayara had little in the way of a typical childhood. She was discovered to possess the means of conjuring spirits and otherworldly beings at a young age. Thus she was taken from her family and set down the path of what most would consider hell. Throughout her training she has been constantly pushed, tortured, and harassed into conjuring greater beings, more powerful demons, and entities to which she rightly had no business pulling through the veil.
On one such occasion, a greater fire demon was torn from beyond, the intent to bind it as a servant. This however proved to be her greatest fault to date. As the demon was summoned, the strength of her magic to bind the infernal proved to be insufficient, and it retained both free will and power. Delighted by its newfound freedom, it made its first mark upon the world by leaving Ayara with a permanent reminder of the weakness of mortals. A fiery brand scorched her face, blinding her left eye before the demon departed, leaving only the charred flesh on her face and the echo of malevolence in the chamber as it vanished into the world, free.
