Autumn Whispergrove
Appearance
Autumn is a scrawny and ill looking young woman. While her health is relatively fine, her body displays her weaknesses clearly. Her eyes are a beautiful green but they are sunken. They are the eyes of one who has suffered. She is quite cute, but looks lifeless and exhausted. Her face often holds an expression of discontent and apathy. Her hair is a very sheen blond and is long, down to her legs almost. It is often unkempt and wild as she doesn't seem to take very good care of it. Her clothing is standard, nothing out of the ordinary and very modest.
Skills and Abilities
Negligent Songstress
Autumn's voice and talent in singing is unbelievable considering her lack of training. Born with golden pipes, she has an elegant tone that easily distracts and allures. Though she doesn't apply it well in dire situations as she is embarrassed and hasn't grown or enjoyed her voice once. She despises how it sounds though she loves to sing while by herself. It is hard to say that this ability will ever be correctly utilized.
Misery's Wrath
Autumn Whispergrove's magic is extremely devastating. This notion applies to herself. When she becomes hysterical or overwhelmed with negative emotion; the young woman unwillingly creates an enormous field of gravitational shift. (500ft) Causing up to a hundred times the normal gravity to crash down on those around her. Friend or foe. She does not get affected by this herself, but does suffer greatly. After an outburst of Misery's Wrath, she can no longer retain consciousness. The more gravity she produces also causes a greater strain on herself. While the gravitational effect does not count for her, her body still takes an enormous toll. As this ability is very situational and not something she can control it does not happen often, but when it does she seems to lose blood determinate to how long she's casting the spell for, usually until she blacks out. It also causes her skin to chip away and freeze as she continues to release this magic. While healing magic can reverse these symptoms, it is impossible to say when this magic may kill her.

Personality
Autumn is extremely shy and introverted. Though she is a courier, she rarely interacts with clients if she can avoid it.
She is relatively curious about most of the world but often finds her curiosity impeded by her nervousness. She is easy to make anxious, which couples poorly with her lack of magic control. She is kind and very sweet when she can muster the courage to hold conversation. She is also very nerdy, enjoying books and plays and stories of all kinds.

Biography & Lore
The Whispergroves were a noble family from Vel Anir. They had their hands in a lot of trading rights and long distance deliveries landing them quite the fortune. The proprietors of Hawk and Sparrow, the delivery company, were the young Trevor and Daria Whispergrove. Married right from their schooling, they had made an amazing living with this bright company and amazing friends who helped them along the way. In their early twenties, they had a daughter named Autumn. While they loved Autumn immensely, the time they had to spend with her was not ideal due to their busy lives trying to ensure all went well with the company and that their employees had fair wages and fair work loads spread across. They were genuinely good people and still humble despite their wealth. They gave back as often as they could and while they wished they could have spent everyday with Autumn the time would come where they would need an attendant to help with her raising. Daria had a friend from her schooling days named Vera who was not cut out for the delivery services, but was more than willing to help them take care of young Autumn while they were unable to. Vera was offered food, lodging AND pay for her attendance.
Vera's time became a bit tied up when she encountered a man she'd fancied by the name of Gideon Thorne. The Whispergroves were a bit wary of this man when they'd first met him due to his gruff nature but it did not take them long to warm up once they'd gotten to know him. Though he was a militant man he showed kindness in their home and became good friends with both Trevor and Daria. Vera and he married not long after, and eventually he was a regular in their home. Even spending time with Autumn when the chance arrived. He seemed to truly adore the girl though they were not of the same cloth. He acted as an uncle or godfather to the child which was unexpected but received with open arms.
As Autumn grew older, a frightening realization came to. Her first tantrum brought great danger to the Whispergrove home and to Vera specifically. She was around four years old at this time and had hurt herself with a careless trip. While a normal child would have brushed something like this off, Autumn was incredibly sensitive. And before this moment it was unbeknownst to all that she had extreme magical inclination. Her tantrum caused a rift of gravitational tug in the room Vera was watching her in. Causing vases and windows to shatter and holding Vera in place to watch as Autumn cried and screamed. The young girl began to bleed from her eyes and her skin seemed to wear. Vera did all she could to coax Autumn but it was to no avail. Eventually, the toddler passed out from the pain her magic had caused her. Vera coddled her as she ran to Trevor and Daria to explain all that happened.
While the parents tried incredibly hard to keep this a secret, it would not remain one. Around Autumn's eighth birthday; The Dreadlords came knocking. They knew of her devastating power and as Vel Anir law stated, they had to give her over. Trevor was unable to accept this, and told Vera to run with Autumn who agreed without argument. She knew all too well how Autumn would become a tool for war due to her power, and would not allow that to happen either. The fight between the Whispergrove couple and the Dreadlords was incredibly brief. The Whispergroves were struck down in seconds and Vera was immediately pursued afterwards.
Autumn was asleep until this moment, unaware of what was happening. Men were setting fire to her home now, she didn't know where her parents were. She began to grow frightened. Vera stood steadfast before the Dreadlords, her conviction to protect the young girl unwavering even in the face of death. In this moment, Gideon burst through the doors. Vera and he locked eyes but in an instant a spell of incredible speed split Vera in two, sending two pieces of her corpse sideways.
This broke Autumn. While Gideon prepared to face the Dreadlords with everything he had and fury in his eyes, Autumn took the moment. She screamed in horror and cried relentlessly, causing a wave ten fold the strength of her last outburst, sending Gideon and the Dreadlords flat to the floor. The house itself began to crumble away from the roof down due to her insane spell. The Dreadlords quickly shattered, their bones ripped from their flesh as the misery of this young prodigy crashed upon them. Gideon did not suffer this fate if through nothing but the will to live itself. Not seconds later, the house and Autumn collapsed. Her injuries again removing her from consciousness.
When she came to, Gideon was holding her, tears in his eyes. Both of rage and of relief. She clung tight to him for he was all she had now. The future was bleak in her eyes, and her mind and heart were now empty.
She has lived with Gideon ever since. While she knows of his desire to hunt Dreadlords, she tries her best not to think about it. They fled to Alliria in hopes to remain incognito from their gaze as he was wanted and she was supposed to be made into an initiate. They were able to avoid suspicion for over a decade, allowing Gideon and Autumn to become just like family. While she had a healthy figure in her life, her mind never truly recovered. Even now her mental health is rotten at best. She does what she can to suppress her negative feelings as neither she nor Gideon understands how to control her magic. When it does blow out of control one can only hope Gideon is around as he is, as far as they know, the only one who can stop her.
