the Foxslayer
Appearance
The Foxslayer stands slightly taller than an average human male, though since they are completely clothed at all times it’s impossible to tell if this is normal or abnormal for their race. They wear an enchanted mask that glimmers even in relative darkness, obscuring their face completely. Garments of black cover the rest of their body -- to those who look, it becomes readily apparent that underneath those garments is armoring, though it’s certainly some sort of leather armoring.
They often carry the polearm that is their primary weapon, but strapped to their waist are two large one-handed serrated-blade swords.
Underneath their cloak, hardly visible unless they make a point of withdrawing it, they wear a silver chain around their neck. On this silver chain are roughly a dozen small charms that look like fox tails cast out of silvers and various golds.

Skills and Abilities
The Foxslayer is a skilled hand to hand combatant. They seem to prefer their polearm in most situations but have demonstrated equal skill with their two one-handed swords as well as other bladed weapons. They are able to switch between weapons seamlessly, and even defend themself skillfully while unarmed. They are athletic and acrobatic, much more so than a normal human would be -- if they are, in fact, human -- and have an uncanny ability to know when they are about to be attacked.
Magic-wise, Foxslayer’s skills seem to change and shift every time they make an appearance. Sometimes they rely on elemental magic such as fire-spitting or wind-summoning. Sometimes they shift and glimmer in and out of sight like a trick of the light. Othertimes they seem to have more persuasive or charm-based abilities.
Whatever their source of magic, it does not seem to change beyond two or three distinct styles of magic in each encounter. Meaning, one encounter they will have fire, stone, and shifting at their behest, but another encounter will see illusions, wind, and charms be displayed. How they shift between different styles of magic remains to be seen…

Personality
The Foxslayer speaks little, and when they do, it is in a voice that is strangely androgynous, as if everytime you hear it you hear a different gender in it. They are serious, focused, dedicated, and intense. They are unconcerned with niceties or politeness, completely and utterly focused on their goal… and utterly and completely ruthless about it as well. Their actions don’t seem to be driven by rage or hate, but this cold, almost clinical, cunning.
Biography & Lore
Little is known of the Foxslayer. They do not seem to be based out of any particular country or city, appearing out of the blue before disappearing like a ghost later. The Foxslayer has employed others to do their dirty work several times, and those who have cooperated or been employed by the Foxslayer find them distinctly unconcerned with anything other than their own personal mission…
OOC Information
The Foxslayer is hunting Kitsune, specifically. They are not interested in any other species except to dispatch any that get in the way of hunting their prey.
If you want to use the Foxslayer in your thread, please feel free to do so. Just follow these guidelines:
The Foxslayer will speak, but very, very little. They reveal almost nothing about their plans. They certainly do not monologue and as a rule, come across as very cold and controlled.
The Foxslayer is just as willing to set traps and ambush their prey as they are to set brigands or mercenaries on Kitsune. They have some way of telling who Kitsune are, even through their shapeshifting into different forms. You can use the Foxslayer in whatever way makes the most sense and the most drama for your RP.
The Foxslayer’s main goal is to incapacitate Kitsune, force them into their half-fox or full-fox form, and then cut their tails off. The tails must be removed before the Kitsune is killed or the magic leeches out and is useless. They then turn the tails into charms that hang on their necklace. Kitsune know instantly what the charms are and can tell which tails belong to familiar Kitsune or themselves.
Don’t kill the Foxslayer. You can injure them but they should always escape, super-skilled villian-style.
