A Highborn elf that traces is ancient bloodline all the way back to the founders of the city of Aellevanda. His rich magical bloodline has given Arastan unique magical skills that deepen his connection to nature. Arastan is the second son to the King and Queen of Aellevanda the great elven city located where the Sayve and Bystra rivers meet. The son of this isolationist kingdom has long since been left to his own devices in nature. However, with the death of his older brother, Arastan is thrust into a political new world with one real goal. He is tired of his kingdom hiding among the trees. It is time they make themselves known to the world.

Appearance

An example of elven beauty in its wild form. Arastan is a bit more muscular than your average elf, especially others in his family, but still lean by other species standards. His white hair hangs all the way to his shoulders. His blue eyes sparkle the same color as the lake that his city sits against. His skin is a bit tanner than the rest of his family and his complexion is not as smooth and glassy from spending his time in outdoors. The most noticeable bit of his appearance is that Arastan is almost always seen with a pair of antlers sticking out of his messy white hair.

Arastan prefers to be free in his appearance which often meant shirtless for most of his life. However, his new role requires a bit more formalism. He is still getting used to this but seems to be satisfied with the loose-fitting clothing that hangs off of him. It often exposes his bare chest. The most important thing to him is that he can take it off quickly.

Skills and Abilities

Elven Combat: Arastan was trained to use the elven bow and sword. He much prefers the bow if he has to use it.

Nature: Arastan possesses an incredible knowledge of nature, including all aspects such as the weather, plants, and his favorite, animals.

Beastmaster: Arastan is a skilled beast tamer capable of forming strong bonds with other creatures and training them. His most noticeable companion that he is often seen with is a large albino tiger that follows him wherever he goes.

Wild shape: Arastan was gifted with the special ability to shapeshift into any animal that he has ever seen. He is so skilled with this gift that he can also just transform parts of his body instead of their entirety.

Personality

The elves of Aellevanda are sometimes referred to as the "Lake Elves" with a reputation for their calm and stoic demeanor. Unfortunately, Arastan never got the memo.

Arastan never took well to the formalized role his family dreamed for him. He enjoys the wild, freedom of nature. He likes to have fun and experience new things. He loves a good party or competition, and his often energetic attitude can be infectious.

While this personality can make him a bit of a black sheep among the city, his headstrong and impulsive attitude is often aimed at protecting his people. He is easily angered and quick to act when people insult, attack, or abuse his kind in any way. While some elves prefer to maintain an aura of peace. Arastan has no problem in choosing the path of violence.

Biography & Lore

Arastan was born the second son of King Aelewen and Queen Elmina of Aellevanda. He did not have to bear the weight of responsibility like his brother. He was first raised to be his brother's aide, but as he grew he fled from such responsibilities. Arastan spent much of his early life hiding among the woods. It was here that he learned of his real talents. His connection to nature improved over time as he grew accustomed to his free life away from the royal family. He would have stayed there for centuries. However, his father recently came to tell him sorrowful news. His brother died when a group of slavers ran into Arastan's brother and his guards. Arastan is now forced to handle the responsibilities that he has avoided for centuries.
