Out-of-character information

As a Shield of the Order, Anárion has dedicated much of his life to the mastery of his arts, ascending to one of the highest of his caste. In the golden age of the Order before the War of the Eventide, Anárion served the prestigious role as Guard of the Temple Shorai in Sharyrdaes. The devastation of the war brought about a massive restructuring within the Order, and for the last 130 years he has served as a front line defender of Sharyrdaes, the last Aerai city.

Appearance

Anárion is a striking individual with strong masculine features. His eyes are almost more of a lighter green than a blue, but when invoking his magic he displays the same sapphiric luminosity in them that all his kind do. His hair is a platinum white, which he often wears half back with many braids woven throughout. His armour is a lighter combination with an excellent range of motion, and he even forgoes some implements, giving him an almost casual look in contrast to most of his brethren. Despite this, it is uncommon to see him dressed for anything other than combat.

Skills and Abilities

Anárion, despite living his earlier years as a Sword of the Order, has always specialized in defensive skills. Both his style of swordplay and his magical abilities have been catered to this preference, though he is not without offensive skill. As a duelist he is of the highest tier, and he leans heavily on his physical skills as opposed to his magical capability. He is however quite adept in the use of magic, though in this regard he has almost totally attuned himself to defense. As a telekinetic he is a decent user, but far outclassed by many more talented individuals.

Personality

Before the War of the Eventide, Anárion would likely have never found himself to be in a leadership role. This was not to say that he is not qualified or capable, only that it is not his preference. But given the toll the war took on his people, Anárion's sense of duty has become somewhat overriding.

Once he was someone who was quite easy to talk to and to relate with to even outsiders, often seen with a smile. In recent days, even in the collective consciousness of his people, the walls of his mind have grown taller and wider. He has grown far more concerned with the continuation of his people, and his duty as one of the elder survivors to be a leader to them. Because of this he can now sometimes come across somewhat cold and distant, but it is clear this is brought about through careful and thoughtful preoccupation.

Despite this, as a leader he is a decent tactician, only as cautious as he can be, and a trusted general.
