Appearance
Rion cannot be a warrior or a hunter. Something had gone wrong with his birth and it shows in his body. His back and shoulders curve inward and he’s much smaller than he should be at his age. His eyes are lopsided but it’s hard to notice that when he perpetually tilts his head conveniently to the right to hear better. One ear didn’t form.
Skills and Abilities
Knowledgeable about the land. Uses mud and dirt to heal wounds, knows the plants to alleviate the simplest of headaches or horrible birthing pains, and understands pressure points to help hunters recuperate. He says his knowledge comes from birds, they lead him to water and safe fruit when he was blind and sick. They helped him to be found by the tribe.
Personality
Reserved but haughty. One would think his attitude would come from the greatest warrior, instead it comes from the healer’s hunchback apprentice.
Biography & Lore
He was born too early. His mother didn’t want him, something about his father that was unnatural and not good. He came out of the womb with hair and teeth and claws. His tribe had thought him to be a monster, figured he would die and so he was unnamed. When he didn’t die, when he cried and squirm, they had put rocks around him to see if the monster would show itself. It didn’t. So he became apart of the tribe.
Ten years later, a sickness came. Only Rion survived, but his fever was so great he lost his eyesight. That was when he realized that the only ear he had could listen and understand the birds.
