Anebus was once a human rune mage. In his older years it was discovered he was suffering from an illness which would take his life. From the day it was discovered on he became obsessed with immortality. He would spend all of his time attempting to find a way to become immortal. Then he had an idea. He would spend all of his money on the preparation of a stone body. Each piece carved to be similar to a humans body. With this he would be able to use his knowledge of runes to transfer his soul into the stones upon his death. All he needed to do was engrave them with the proper rune. Though after he finished engraving the head piece, and before he could engrave anymore he passed. Thus his attempt at immortality was a failure. Though perhaps not completely. Upon his death his soul was transferred into the stone serving as the head piece for the body. In a way he lived on inside that stone. Though not truly living. Without the rest of the pieces connected he was nothing more than a stone orb. That lasted for an amount of time unknown to Anebus. Until the day he found he was no longer just a stone, but something else as well. He found himself to be a part of a new existence one without shape or form. He surged energy into the stones runes activating those that gave him sight, and beheld his new body. He had somehow come to possess the body of a slime which contained the full skeleton of a human being. A skeleton which he had an awful feeling was his own. As time passed he grew to become slightly familiar with the body, how it functioned, and what its needs were. Without his notice he began to change forgetting some of the details of his old life, and his emotions began to get duller. Over time even the notion of what his old gender was disappeared from his life. A time in which he turned to it, and it became a creature that lost a good amount of its identity. A creature which operated mainly on logic, and remembered more fact than personal details.
