Althea
Fallen angel trying to make her way without wings.
Appearance
Althea (meaning wholesome healer) - A pretty and delicate thing with white blonde hair, fair skin and pale eyes that seem to almost glow reflectively as they capture light. She has two thick scars on her shoulder blades where her wings were once attached, and has since covered them with the winged tattoos. Her ears are subtly pointed, and without her wings she appears as a half elf, which is what she claims to be due to her shame and bitterness toward her own kind.
She generally has a few concealed blades on her person, and her clothes are often pretty (frills, lace, embroidery). She is well enough kept in her current line of work, however the hauntings of her past and worries of her present and future weigh heavily on her. She has scarred wrists which she keeps concealed with ribbons and/or long sleeves.
Skills and Abilities
Althea, (Thea for short), possesses the ability to alter emotion and sensation through touch (and only touch). It was once her job to ease the passing of the dying, making them comfortable and pain free and guiding them peacefully from this life. Her touch can calm and soothe as well as eliminate the sensation of pain without healing. By contrast she is also able to cause the sensation of pain, as well as alter moods and temperature. She is not able to use these abilities on herself.
As an avariel , Thea was once blessed with the gift of flight by use of her strong, feathered wings, however said wings have been cut. Her shoulders and upper arms are tattood to symbolise the wings that she lost.
Thea is not physically strong. Her bones are hollow and therefore easily broken, however she does heal at a slightly accelerated speed to most. She is exceptionally quick on her feet, and her feather light frame gives her the ability to jump and climb to avoid trouble. Thea has become skilled in throwing blades and hand held daggers, but otherwise her first instinct Is to flee from trouble.
She is particularly gifted in sleight of hand, making her an excellent thief.

Personality
Biography & Lore
Thea was born and raised in the sky city of Thyasari. Her parents were both part of the council and high standing members of the city, and her older brother was a celebrated commander. Thea has a sweet and caring disposition, and her ambitions lay in helping the sick and wounded, her gifts put to use in easing the suffering of those in pain and dying.
Thea's parents were often absent on account of their importance and responsibilities, and so Thea and her brother were particularly close. Her life crashed down around her the night she'd been called from her bed by her brother's comrades and had been brought to his side as he lay bleeding in the street. He died in her arms, and rather than allow the soldiers to take the man responsible into custody, Thea took her brother's blade and drove it into his murderer's heart in her grief.
Thea was taken into custody to stand trial, and the council ruled that she be cast out of Thyasari in exile for her crime, and that her wings be taken so that she might never again return home. Despite her begging, her parents could not look at her. Her wings were publicly cut, and she was forced to crawl from the palace before being unceremoniously dropped into the lands surrounding the spine to fend for herself.
She has fallen further than she'd ever thought possible, and has since wound up on the streets of Alliria, doing her best to survive in the harsh reality of the world below.
