Alani is short, standing at only 5ft 3in with the sturdy build of a woodsman (or in her case woman). She has calloused hands from hard work with strong well-defined arms and back. At first one might think she was human from a distance if it wasn't for her grayish complexion. However, close up one can see the slight point of her ears and when she smiles tinny tusks can be seen along with twinkling brown eyes. Her wavy blond hair falls to about mid back but she usually keeps it back in a loose braid.

Hunters Hand
She has a special connection to the earth which is strongest when she is on the land where she grew up but even when she is elsewhere she has a small pool of natural energy which she could tap into if she learned how. She knows how to survive in the wild, how to hunt with a bow and traps, and how to use every part of the animal once it is caught, wasting nothing. Her father gave her his sword but she is not particularly skilled with it preferring a simple wood ax in a self-defense situation.

Languages
She is surprisingly good at learning languages and can speak common, orcish and a little Dwarvish. Her orcish is surprisingly good with only a little distortion due to her smaller tusks. Her Dwarvish is not the best she could carry on a stilted conversation and she has a bit of an orcish accent which can also be heard in her common. She is also able to talk with plants especially fungi people who use a sent based language.

Nature's Mirror
She is not fully aware of her potential but she has an uncanny ability to mirror nature. She has an incredible sense of smell, almost like that of a dog, and is able to change her sent to mimic other more natural sents to conceal herself. She was able to mimic the way the Sporetta and The Mycolyp produced sents to talk and picked up their linguistic and grammatical nuances rather quickly.

She is mostly mellow, going with the flow, her philosophy is what is meant to be will happen. However, she has a major stubborn streak and if you do manage to get on her bad side she holds one hell of a grudge. She does not see the point of social laws, her only rules in the universe come from the laws of the earth. She is not afraid to enact her version of justice and this can get her in some trouble.

She usually carries a pair of hand axes on her, a hunting knife, a hunting bow, a quiver of arrows, and a sword her father gave her which he forged himself. She also often wears a platemail chest pice over her clothes to protect her heart mixed with leather and gambison pices of armor protection when applicable. She is also in possession of the sword Chapter and a potion of Starfire.
