Appearance

Aethiri is a bio-creation of the cast race. She appears humanoid at a glance, more like a dark elf than a monster.
She is of average height and very petite, with a slim build and lanky limbs. But she is incredibly strong, her muscles solidly compacted in her slight frame.

Her bone structure is very pronounced with ridges and edges all over her body. She doesn't have chitin on her body like others of her kind, having an endoskeleton without an exoskeleton, but she does have small scales on several parts of her body.
She also has deadly mandibles disguised against her face and a long prehensile tongue with a deadly stinger on the end.

Her hair is a complex system of antenna, feelers, and sensors that grow directly from her skull and fall around her shoulders. Her fingers and toes have retractable curved reptilian claws.
She sometimes dresses in a black cloak to disguise herself.

Skills, Traits & Weaknesses

Agile Hunter: She's incredibly agile, fast and acrobatic, almost defying gravity at times with her cat like feats of tumbling. This is incorporated into her combat style as well.

Fighting: She is skilled in the use of swords and small daggers, she is especially adept with the use of whip-swords. But above that she's even more efficient with her claws.
The Hivemind: All Cast have highly attuned receptors for receiving instructions via pheromones enabling a vast communications array capable of communicating complex instructions spanning miles.

Genetic Fluidity: As a race they are highly adaptive. When introduced to a new or hostile environment it will not take long for the swarm to either adapt, find or create a way to overcome the danger.
In addition to their adaptable bodies they possess the ability to assimilate desired traits from the things they consume, changing themselves on the genetic level to possess the desired traits.

She's comfortable being in crowds and craves connection to as many people as possible.

Biography

Aethiri was all anyone ever called her in her little village in the Amol Kalit desert. She was a mutant slave girl bound to a cruel mistress. Some complications of her birth made her skin dark and gave her an elf-like appearance, although she was not an elf.
She was worked to exhaustion several times in her life, beaten, used, starved, simply staying alive was all that consumed her every waking moment.
Her mistress delighted in watching her suffer, and whenever she went too far she would have the healers come and fix her up to continue sating her perverse pleasures.

Aethiri had no hope, her spirit was broken long ago till all she could do was accept her fate. She never tried to run away. she never rebelled against her mistress, and she never sought aid from anyone. This was simply her lot in life, and there was nothing to do about it.

So when a small part of her that hadn't died yet came to life during the destruction of the village she almost didn't know what to do. In the midst of the attack of sand worms exploding from the earth she felt a kindle of hope and didn't recognize it...
But suddenly there was an opportunity...
While they were attempting to reach safety Aethiri detected the approach of a sand worm. It would miss them, but if she gave that cruel woman a slight push...

Her mistress fell in the path of the sand worm and was swallowed up, breaking the chains that held her. She was free, but now what? She never thought about freedom anymore, what could she do?
She looked and saw the open desert to the west between the buildings. There were no sand worms out there so she ran into it.

Lore & Equipment

The Hivemind: The Swarm Weird can communicate telepathically with each other and even see through each others senses for a hundred mile radius so long as one of the psionic hierarchy is present. They are thus able to act as a single creature with many bodies under the direction of the psionic. The Swarm Weird has the benefit of hindsight, they are able to see the stored memories of other hive members who have failed before them and learn from their mistakes.

Psionic Counter: Every creature in the swarm is connected, they have one mind. Through this connection it is possible for it to also be a vulnerability.
A creature of the swarm designed as a weapon.
