Appearance

Aesma is petite, like all maniae, and has short, messy magenta hair and wide, bright green eyes which glow slightly when she is fighting. She appears about 18, though she’s been alive for 150 years, and within her community is treated as a child: Maniae exist after creation for about 600 years unless they are killed. Which takes some effort. She usually wears steampunk-style clothing and always wears a certain hat. If she loses her hat, she will do absolutely anything to get it back. No particular reason. It isn't magical. She just really likes her hat.

Skills and Abilities

Maniae can be very, very, very persuasive. Almost mind control, but a trained and experienced person can resist it. They are also telekinetic, telepathic, and skilled at speaking in riddles to one another. Not a different language, but almost no one can decipher two maniae speaking to one another. Aesma herself is a master thief. She picks locks in seconds and can easily break into almost any fortress entirely unnoticed.

Personality

Aesma is illogical, slightly reckless, and irritating. She is prone to think with her heart rather than her head, and her heart usually tells her to just go for it. She is energetic, immature, and will do almost anything just because someone dares her to. Making friends is easy for her; keeping them is the issue. She doesn’t mind; she doesn’t care about many people, but when she does care about someone, she’ll never betray them. Chaotic Neutral personality.

Biography & Lore

Aesma was created 150 years ago, making her still a child by Maniae standards. She lived with her many pseudo-siblings for about 50 of those years, training and working with them, helping them handle things at the home front, before deciding she would be more interested in the hands-on side of the job. See, her family traditionally worked with organizing large-scale events: wars, mass hysteria, etc. She herself was more interested in being out in the world, actually doing things.
She persuaded her family to let her be trained as a sort of a field agent. She was trained for about 15 years before being sent out with a few friends to wreak havoc on the world. It’s a fun job. She quite likes it. Aesma has a few well-connected friends of every species that’ll help her out of tight spots, and she picks up small, morally questionable jobs to make a living.
