Born in Alliria to Outer City residents, Adius' parents spent their lives in servitude, both working within the home of a wealthy noble, one on the cusp of reaching true importance to the city. As Adius grew up, his childhood was interrupted by a decision to send him to work in the home, giving him the role of a stable boy. He spent several years working in this role, until a faithful day when he was 10.

His masters second-eldest son, a man of around 30, had returned home. He was a resident of Elbion, an alchemist who worked on the grounds, and a studious man. Adius found his demeanor to be utterly impressive, more so than any finely dressed merchant that visited his master. Apparently the Maester found a spot in his heart for the wide-eyed stares of Adius, and requested to his father that Adius serve as his personal servant for the duration of his stay, working exclusively within the large quarters the Maester spent his days in. That request was obliged, and Adius found himself cleaning and serving the Maester, all the while engaging in what Adius thought was pleasant small talk.

However this was not the case, the Maester saw something in Adius, an intelligence and curiosity he liked. So, at his own free will, he taught Adius how to read and write, and then seeing his proficiency in this, began giving him books to read. Adius' parents were pleased by this, hoping their son would be employed as a steward, an ambition they could only dream of. However this was not the case. Three years after he'd returned to Alliria, the Maester needed to return to Elbion, and wished to take Adius with him, planning on having the boy enrolled in the College when he turned 16. Adius parents obliged and he went with the Maester, becoming a personal assistant to him and spending his days on the college grounds. As promised, when he turned 16 he was enrolled in the College, and began his studies.

He graduated at 26, with little proficiency in what one would deem 'actual magic' instead finding his specialty in alchemy bordering magical and scholarly study, on all topics, but with a specific love for dragons. This of course recently led him to the Dragon Keepers soon after their creation, where he joined them, though in reality he does little more than study their dragons and toss them tidbits of information in regards to the location of wild dragons his found in his travel. Throughout his life, he has become proficient in many historical topics, and occasionally is brought to guest lecture in history courses at the College. His current rank is Maester of the Fourth Order.
