Addis Vrummal
Appearance
Preferring to wear a leather jacket over top of a chain shirt for armor, the elf could almost be passed over as an actual Allirian Ranger. He usually wears what could be considered commoners clothing most everywhere he goes, especially around other elves, if only to irritate them. His hair contains at least one or two braids daily, and the rest he allows to fall as it pleases. When preparing for a fight, the only thing he tends to prepare with is a stiff drink and a bit of facepaint.Skills and Abilities
Physically Fit-Addis is very diligent about keeping himself in top physical form. Habitually training early in the morning in various ways, such as climbing trees fully equipped, swimming against the current in nearby water, or even simply going running fully equipped.
Weapons-
Using a bow, Addis is able to comfortably shoot a fly out of the air at several hundred paces. With his short-sword and dagger, fighting enemies in close quarters is easy so long as he doesn’t get to showing off.
Weak Magic-
Addis never bothered to train his fire magic, as it was related to destruction and he did not enjoy the fact that by his destructive capability, he would be measured. At best he can light a campfire or put a tongue of fire in a spot, but that is about what his magic amounts to.
Personality
Addis tends to think of what could happen rather than hope for the best. Usually managing to step back from situations and look at things how they are presented, or at least how they seem, and ponder on possibilities. In his years, humble pie has been served to him numerous times in his arrogance, and he is only finally getting the idea to take a long look from another view. There is still a bit of elven pride to be had when it comes to combat prowess, but he has done his best to remove that blinding element from how he thinks and deals with others.Always up for a good joke, or even for a bit of singing should the mood strike the rangers, he is lighthearted and enjoys jovial company. Very little can be done to dampen his mood, other than death, but who doesn’t get sad when that happens.
Biography & Lore
Addis comes from a home in Falwood, but has yet to speak about it in depth, seeming to be one of the few things he dislikes talking about. Likewise, he won’t go into detail about his magic training. Everything else about his life has been an open book for anyone willing to listen, from the time he was curious about the common life and spent ten years helping a farmer, or of the time he worked in a vineyard and was ultimately fired for breaking into the cellar. Which he claims the proprietor had asked him to do since the two were drinking that night.He speaks fondly of most of his time wandering, finding odd jobs to do and learning things along the way, having only become interested in helping the rangers in the past hundred years. Picking up a sword to fight wasn’t the hard part he recalls, it was finding a place that had its goals set in the right place was the hard part. You can find a number of groups always willing to fight, but most not for the same reason as the next or the last.
Having been a corporal for several years now, he doesn't seem terribly interested in being promoted or scaling the ranks. Rather, his interest lies in the people he gets to train, seeing different faces and brushing against different views of the world.
