Accolon

Appearance
Accolon has dark hair which he keeps medium-length and wears loosely. He has a ghostly complexion and, most often, wears a very serious expression that is not given to change. He displays some prominent scarring on the left side of his face, which he earned some years ago, while abroad, at the hands of savage orcs.
His eyes are an unsettling maroon color. This is not for any special reason and is a common trait displayed by many in his immediate and extended family.
Accolon is usually clothed finely, with richly decorated armor - symbols of his family's wealth. His family's colors are black, gold, and of course, dark red, so he wears those most often.
He carries himself with clear discipline and direction, but rarely with any energy or enthusiasm.
Skills and Abilities
Accolon has displayed proficiency in fighting with sword and shield. More frequently, however, he prefers fighting with thrusting swords. He has a rather sumptuously crafted estoc in his possession that he utilizes for duels.
When Accolon employs battle magic, it is most frequently in the form of lightning. He wields bolts as javelins and has been seen to fling them with some precision.
Accolon briefly endured a nobleman's education before becoming a Dreadlord. He can read, write, and possesses passing familiarity with Anirian literature, poetry, and history.
There are rumors that Accolon has taken to secretly studying a field of magic called mesmerism, which in theory would allow him to assert control over bestial races and creatures, among other things. But those are only rumors, aren't they?
Personality
Self-serious, tight-lipped, brooding, bookish. Fond of making smart remarks, less fond of being on the receiving end of smart remarks. It is downright intolerable for him, in fact, and he may end up demanding satisfaction via duel.
Short fuse with a cold burn. Particularly sensitive to comments on his scarring. Holds grudges, but is quick to release them once he feels he's adequately revenged himself.
Strong and thoroughly Anirian dislike of lesser races - particularly gnolls and orcs.
Fond of leisure games: cards, chess, dice, and knucklebones. Especially fond of wagering money on them as well. Accolon has a gambler's heart.
