"Fwaah!" Altheao woke up with a startle. Sweat on his brow and a bit of panic in his eyes as he looked around before falling back into bed feeling weak, running his hands through his layered white hair with a huff. Al looks around trying to remember where he was for a moment, then it struck him that he had barely made it to the inn before the sun came up high enough to cause even worse burns. At least that was what he thought as he looked at a small woman tending to another person. The more he looked around he quickly realized he was in an infirmary of sorts. It hurt to breathe as the bandages were wrapped around what felt like burn marks on his side and back, but otherwise, he was fine.
One of the nurses would walk over to his bed and would cover him up again, "Glad to see you are awake sir. The innkeeper called us when you arrived, saying you smelt of burnt flesh." She would smile pouring him a glass of water and setting it down on a small end table next to his bed. "All your items have been mended or salvaged as best as Grandma could, and are under her safekeeping until you are well enough to leave." She would tell him quietly dabbing his forehead with a damp towel. "You got a wicked fever and some burns on your body. So you are probably going to have to stay here for a while." Al would sigh feeling sick as a dog whenever she mentioned his issues.
"Where is my traveling companion?" Al would ask sitting up when the young woman gave him some of his water to drink. "We have no idea, sir."
"Just Al please." He would tell her and the woman nods.
"We are not aware of your traveling companion. Do you wish for us to send someone to try to find them?"
"Please if you would." He would ask her with a slight smile. A lot of the events from last night were a blur to him so he would rather not strain his mind and would rather hear it straight from his companion. The two of them were on a simple job of finding the necromancers and destroy them and their works, which did not seem like it turned out to have gone too well. Considering he has ended up in a place like an infirmary.
The woman would nod her head and would set the cup down to go and find someone to hopefully find his companion. "Stupid necromancers...." He'd say aloud covering his face with his arm after covering himself up again with a blanket as the fevers chills ran down his body.
