Private Tales Summer and the River

A private roleplay only for those invited by the first writer
She bit the inside of her lip and said nothing at first. She was too subtle for her own good, apparently, but the idea of saying outright that she wanted to spend more time with him in particular was beyond her. It was a level of confidence she did not have within her. Or at least, not yet.

"Of course," she said with only the faintest touch of disappointment. "Friends," she added. And maybe just a touch of jealousy, too; Aiko and Yue were both unblemished. Both were...well, sweet wasn't the right description for Yue. Or Aiko either, whom was reserved in a way she was unaccustomed to among her peers.

"I am still not used to being with other people. But... I will go anywhere you think is wonderful. Being out in the world is an experience." She wanted to say more and couldn't. She was too unsure of her own feelings on the matter, anyway. It was an experience in and of itself, one that she wanted to explore.

Reactions: Atticus
It was going to take a lot longer for Atticus to come around to thinking that someone would want his attention, and his sole company. After all he had endured, all he wanted to do was be surrounded by others. He hadn't thought he would be able to make that many new friends, but the College had provided well.

"Oh, is there someone you're not keen on at the moment?" He asked, biting into his pastry. Atticus often was unaware of any cold shoulders being passed or a slight happening to change the mood between friends. "Do tell... I like hearing gossip."

He grinned. Atticus didn't want to be part of drama, but hearing about it and staying in the loop was fascinating.
