Zathria At'Arel
Appearance
Zathria is a grey skinned Drow with long white hair. She is of average height and weight for a dark elf, slim and agile.
Skills and Abilities
Zathria is a skilled warrior most often using twin sabers that share a sheathe and is also capable with a bow to supplement her scouting. She shines the most as a leader of small teams but it capable of taking on larger military operations as well. She has spent time in the academy learning combat magic as well, though more obscure arcane knowledge is not her specialty.
Personality
Zathria is a stern woman who values discipline and devotion. She takes her duties seriously, holding herself and others to a high standard. Despite this, she is known to be flippant or sassy on occasion, ribbing others around her and even unwinding and loosening up around close friends.
She finds her greatest rhythm on the battlefield where she becomes utterly focused on the task at hand, sometimes to the deficit of other duties. Perhaps contrary to other Drow officers, Zathria has a close feeling of kinship with those under her command, seeing them as not only her responsibility, but her brothers and sisters in arms. Although she will make the hard decisions when needed in combat, she does not waste lives whenever she can avoid it.

Biography & Lore
Born as the second daughter of House At'Arel, a minor noble house in Zar'ahal with strong historical ties to the royal House Tor'rahel. At the age of twenty, Zathria joined the Zar'ahal Military Academy, distinguishing herself as a skilled melee combatants favoring sabers during her time in the academy.
While in the academy, she spent her elective years on scouting and combat magic, hoping to find a place within the scout companies of Zar'ahal and finding she was both skilled at and enjoyed the close knit community of the scout teams and the thrill of work behind enemy lines and skirmishing at the edges of danger.
During her final year in the academy, she finished first place in the tournament boards and underwent the Tososs Barra, enhancing her reflexes as well as her body's strength and durability, earning her an edge throughout her career and making her a potent force to be reckoned with.
She quickly discovered that she had a gift for combat that far transcended her ability for deception or politicking and she devoted herself even more heavily into the life of a soldier. During her time in the Zar'ahal military, she spent many years as both a scout and infantry soldier, rising as an officer to work closely with the future Queen Vyx'aria.
She alternated her time as a weapon master for both the Zar'ahal academy as well as other allied noble houses and performing duties as a commander for elite and dangerous missions.
When Queen Vyx'aria was driven out by the Usurper, House At'Arel was caught up in the conflict of the coup. Zathria's older sister overthrew Zathria's mother and swore loyalty to the Usurper. Zathria, however, remained loyal to the true Queen and followed Vyx'aria into exile before they returned.
On return to Zar'ahal, Zathria found her sister and killed her in combat, becoming the new matriarch of House At'Arel. This was not the only title that Zathria took on as the true Queen returned. She was given the great honor of being named right hand of the Queen and along with Xunari, the left hand of the Queen, the two women formed the Rahi'Valsharess or Queensguard.
Now, Zathria continues to serve under Queen Vyx'aria as a loyal soldier, confidant, and friend.
