Once a young boy, he learned how to tame the metal with his father and how to take care of the farm with his mother. Grew strong working with his father and mother, being a big lad from an early age.
Everything changed when his small setlement was infected by a plague that slowly killed all the villagers. William no matter how much he tried couldnt save anybody. He was but a simple farmhand and blacksmith.
One day in the woods searching for herbs to help the local healer in his mission to make herbal medicines, he found a circular stone inscribed with runes he could not understand alongside a sword. His curiosity took the best of him and he removed the blade from the stone.
When he came back, his town was under attack by strange creatures, corpses animated by the foul magic, controlled by a robbed man. He fought valiantly but to no avail. Without the training of a warrior, all he could do was watch as his village was consumed by darkness.
His heart,however, was conforted by the weapon he carried. Without knowledge of Magic, it was like the weapon sparked in him something powerful.
Without a place to call home, William wandered the continent helping people in need, doing odd jobs and lending his sword against tyranny and darkness. He may not be the strongest, but he knows he can put his faith in the light that guides him.
Appearance
A man on his twenties, but with a strong build. A farmboy transformed into a warrior, his body is strong and bulky.
His haircut is simple and militaristic, with looks being not important.

Skills and Abilities
Trained Blacksmith: Trained from boyhood to inherit his fathers smithy, William knows his way around metalworking. While he is not talented, he knows how to make simple tools, repair armor and forge weapons and armor as long as they are of simple materials such as Iron and Steel.
Hedge Knight: A knight with no formal training, most of what William learned was in its adventures and by taking tips from mercenaries, city guards and manuals he could buy here and there, making him a warrior with a diversified style of combat.
Blessings of the Lady of the Forest: For reasons unknown to him, William has great vigor unnatural even to his early life as a farmhand and blacksmith. In truth, his contact with the blessed blade he carries gives him greater stamina and resistance to disease, alongside an improved healing factor, with grievous wounds healing in days rather than weeks.
Holy Spark: A Divine magician, Will channels his power trought his belief in the Righteousness of his cause. Trought his good deeds and belief, he can channel simple magical effects.
SPELLS
Righteous Strike: Trought his determination, William can channel into his blade the power of the Light directly. His weapon will glow with golden power, increasing the strenght of his attacks, particularly against ethereal beings, magical protections and undead creatures.

Indomitable Will: Trought determination the powers of his divine spark can be channeled to heal wounds and numb the pain. While not strong like dedicated healing spells, this effect can be used to stave off exhaustion, deal with internal and external bleeding , heal cuts and minor injuries.

Bulwark: Trought his shield or trought his hand, William can channel a powerful energy ward to fight off against physical attacks or magic projectiles and effects. Such magic needs to be channeled continually, increasing in price depending on the size of the barrier.
Blessing of the Champion: William can use magic to temporaily increase his agility and physical strenght, draining his stamina to do so. Such effect is not dramatic, but can give an edge in physical combat.
Eye of Judgement: A spell that protects Williams mind against illusions, mind effects and charms. While it is passive as a sort of sixth sense, it requires daily incantations as part of its spellcasting.
Bolts of Light: By using some of his inner reserves of power, William can conjure simple magic projectiles made of energy that can be used to hurt foes from afar. A simple offensive spell, it is not strong on its own, but it can be used to wear down defenses and bring foes to heel.

Personality
A man of kind heart and calm demeanor, William is very gentle with people around him. Such manners can be quickly turned into furious anger at the face of tyranny and injustice, transforming him in a cold tool of destruction.
