Wezurii
Appearance
Wezurii is, in many ways, the archetype of the Sword Which Wanders. His beard is well kept, his dark eyes perpetually in motion, and his kimono and hair are always immaculately kept. Despite this, the only thing expensive on his person is his sword. As with many, it has been handed down through the generations, and is always at his hip with a smaller, thrusting sword slipped into his waistband with it. These two, the Big and the Small, mark him out as samurai - as does his long hair, pulled back into a tail.
Scars cross his skin beneath his clothing, much as a map is filled with the markings of rivers, valleys and peaks. Exceptionally unexceptional, were it not for his swords he wouldn't merit a second glance. His firm voice is quiet, his movements measured and soft, and despite being fairly bulky for Nihon (and marking him out as being descended from immigrants) he has mastered the ability to blend in through stillness; in both sound and form.
He could be mistaken for any hundred other swordsmen seen through the year, and that's how he likes it.
Skills and Abilities
The Sword with Many Blades: His upbringing has left him skilled with those arms common to his people.
Warrior of the Hidden Paths: He has mastered the art of moving, unnoticed, in plain sight.
The Rock which Flattens: Often acting before he thinks, he always takes responsibilities for his mistakes, even if they could have been avoided with a bit of thought. This sort of carelessness jeopardizes not just himself, but his superior as well.
The Wind that Cuts: He's no strategist, though he's a semi-decent tactician. He will be outfoxed by anyone who can put together even a short-term plan. He works best under pressure, and against a deadline, but that just means you can be vulnerable to even a hastily laid plan.
Personality
In a manner any son of Nihon would be proud of, Wezurii boasts a strong personality. While not gregarious or loud, he is a man of convictions and certainty. Honor and duty may be his goal posts, but his guiding light is his internal sense of right and wrong. Predictable, honest and fair, his relentless persecution of his duty has given him considerable face among his countrymen.
Biography
It was presumed that, despite his clear immigrant heritage, he was born in Nihon. The reason for this was there were no outsider visitors on the day the young boy was found, walking through the tall grass of the central mountains. There, among secluded peaks, lay nestled vast plains where villages trained, day and night, to perfect martial arts dedicated to stealth and secrecy. Their skill at espionage was unparalleled, and they sold themselves out to whichever warlord could afford their hefty price.
Raised by an adoptive father, he was taken under wing and given the same training as many other young men. His father took it a step further, demanding perfection. His studies were to continue until after his father had gone to sleep, and then he was to sneak to his room. If he made noise, he was forced to return to his studies and try again at every half of the hour. At the beginning, this meant he didn't sleep until his father was well into his own rest.
By the end, his passage was unmarked and unheard. When he passed his graduation trials at 14, the age of adulthood, he was well equipped to undertake and excel at the lower ranked missions many cut their teeth on. Accelerating up the ladder rapidly, he eventually found the life unfulfilling, and took up his meager possessions, descended from the mountains, and set about truly learning more of the country in which he calls home.
It's this wandering that has taken him out of his birthplace, and into the rest of the world. A world vastly different from their small, island nation and it's warring clans.
