Vorak was born in the ancient Dwarven hold of Karak Azghal.

Not a fortress or a bastion by any means. Azghal was a city sat within the deep reached of the Spine. Nestled high in the northern peaks, Vorak's home was known for it's artistry, particularly when it came to crafting armor.

Though not famous around the world, three hundred years ago they were known in the Dwarven clans to craft some of the finest mail known. This reputation held for a long while until like many other Holds the cities population began to dwindle.

Slowly, as the years passed, the Dwarves of Karak Azghal left their home. Either heading towards Belgrath or one of the other Holds.

Overtime this loss of people became so great that Azghal barely managed to hold itself together. Then, finally, when a hammer struck the city was shattered. Like so many other cities of their species, Karak Azghal was rent from the grasp of the Dwarves by an army of foreign invaders. A legion of Ogres and trolls laid siege to the city, and in a matter of weeks brought it to ruin.

Vorak took part within this siege, and was one of the last warriors to leave the city itself.

After his departure from his homeland, the then young Dwarf traveled to Belgrath. There he joined the Legions, fighting within various wars to keep those of the deep at bay. For nearly a century Vorak fought in various campaigns, taking on war after war.

This slog of enemies continued, more Dwarven Holds falling until finally a bulwark was erected. Belgrath itself stood, though it's own size dwindling. A perimeter was established. Seven cities, each clustered close together, the last piece of the Dwarven Empire.

It was this that Vorak helped defend, until one day he decided it was simply not enough.

Until one day he decided that the Dwarven people deserved more.
