Thraken Whitview
Former engineer and fine stoneworker turned fighter, but still a craftsman at heart.
Appearance
Short, muscular and dwarf-like. Heavy in his hands, and big in the forearms- he's a laborer and a Dwarf, alright. Big beard.
Skills and Abilities
Thraken honed his skills through years as a stonemason, training his hands to judge weight, balance, and fracture with unerring precision. He built his strength through relentless labor and disciplined technique, then carried those traits into his life as a soldier and warrior when the threats of Belgrath became too deep. He mastered defensive formations and battlefield positioning quickly. Thraken wields his weapons with the same deliberate precision and finesse he once reserved for hammer and chisel, striking with measured, purposeful force. His endurance, forged in both craft and combat, allowed him to withstand pain, fatigue, and fear with the stoic resolve of one shaped by stone and war alike.
Personality
While mostly quiet and reserved, Thraken is a jovial man with a penchant for pranks, drinking, merrying. He appreciates fine craftsmanship, artwork, beauty, and well-done jobs. He's meticilous in some aspects of his life- but messy in others.
Biography & Lore
Thraken was born in the lower forges of Belgrath, where the roar of hammers and the grind of stone never ceased, much to his delight. He earned his place as a stonemason early, carving supports and battlements deep within the mountain.
Until the Spine erupted with raids from Orcs and raiders, pushing down from the high passes and across continents. When the call to arms echoed through the city, Thraken traded his chisel and tools for a shield and fought in the violent series of conflicts, sealing breaches and holding choke points he had once helped build. Afterward, he ventured into the Spine as a soldier, guarding caravans, breaking sieges, and driving back threats before they could reach Belgrath’s gates. Each contact sharpened him into a veteran warrior, and each return to the city found him standing the walls, protecting Belgrath with the same hands that had first shaped its stone.
