Household Summary
The House of Aramastus-Bal, or simply the House of Bal, is a relatively new house, retaining immense power and influence, hence earning its place within the history of Vel Anir and many more cities that the House has attained influential power in. Despite their great wealth, the House does not boast of nobility, preferring to stay neutral, though having no qualms to allowing loans be made by anyone of credible standing. They are both sought after and feared, as there is a bloody past in those that fail to fulfill their promises to the bank, as where one may lavish themselves in riches one night, yet may end up dead through the blades that dwell in darkness.

Overview

Structure

Description
The House of Bal is one of the most Influential Households in the known world. They retain their influence on massive amounts of wealth, handling the debts of many other wealthy households and immense connections of friendship that the banking business, especially within the massive influential standpoint that the house stands upon.

Head of the Family
Holder: Asher I
Unlike nobility, the Aramastus-Bals do not follow the clear cut formula of hierarchy that most, if not all, nobility follow. Despite the old head, Alexander, being alive, the head is allowed and often find it necessary to relinquish duties to the heir once they see it fit. It also is not based on the first-born, though heavily influences he decision, as it is more based on the competitive value and the skill-sets that the potential heirs may acquire or become accustomed to. This is the most powerful position in the Household, and perhaps the most influential position in Vel Anir, next to King.

Magna Patris
Holder: Harlan I
This is an Honorary title for the Former Head, as he still holds power in advising and leading Cardinal troops, however since he would have relinquished all responsibility to the new Head, he does not manage the House and its finances at all. Often the Magna Patris and Magna Mater, would exit Vel Anir and would either travel for excitement or go off to the private estates of the Aramastus Bal in other cities. This position has the capabilities of being called into service as a general or commander of forces, however, once that is done with, they will exit the scene once more, as the former heads begin to serve the fruition of the house, through the shadows instead.

Magna Mater
Holder: Helena
This is also an honorary title, held by the mother of heirs and the spouse of the Former Head, this being Alexander. Only when the Head has become Magna Patris, then the spouse retains this title, and only when the Head becomes Magna Patris and a new heir is declared head, then this title is transferred to the spouse of the new Magna Patris.

Fratres
Holder(s):
• Mercedene
• Amethyst
These are the heirs birthed by the Magna Mater, as they are the ones who generally fill in the positions of Holder of Commerce, Holder of Intrigue, and Holder of Penmanship. These positions are incredibly important for the fruition and success of the bank, thus they are more-so trained in ways of academic proportions, rather than warring proportions. They though have a martial focus, though it is overshadowed by the sheer diplomatic, coinage, and intrigue focus that they develop and perfect. They are also able to be called as commanders or leaders, however, the Magna Patris and the Head of the Family, generally fulfill the roles.
