Te Kiva
Overview
Te Kiva is the location of a portal stone deep within the cradle of an underwater cavern seemingly formed by ancient volcanos. It is ridded with ancient lava tunnels and caverns, a maze that could confound the most experienced adventurer. These tunnels and caverns may be filled with water, some of which follow the rise and fall of the tides.
This portal stone is continuously radiating magic, enough to provide a recuperating quality both physically and magically, to any adventure that steps within its vicinity. Bioluminescent crystals and algae illuminate the cavern, and the pulsing, jade blue obsidian carved stone set against a semi circle of hardened lava.
There are large predatory creatures that inhabit the caverns and tunnels. Blind octopuses, large crustaceans, electric eels, land crabs, and typical sea life. They have territorial tendencies.

Lore
It is said that during the great age of magic, the Kiva, the goddess of the primordial I ocean, returned to the depths of the Asharah Ocean, summoning power onto the ocean floor and from her flesh and bone brought forth the birth of several underwater volcanoes, creating herself a resting place where her body became the very archipelago “Eye of Kiva", a powerful maelstrom in the vast sea.
There are whispers that what powers the primordial magic that feeds life to the archipelago is deep within the vast network of underwater caverns and coral forests. There, within the core of of this archipelago, hidden away and protected by the creatures of the sea, lays Te Kiva, a powerful resource of magic unlike any other.
Ancient Kivern murals depict this magic as the embodiment of Kiva, the creator and destroyer. Those held within the cradle of her breast are said to be blessed with the ability to be whisked away to marvelous worlds.
Yet beware, for the slumbering goddess is not without protection. They say that those who seek to steal the power of Te Kiva are met with monstrous and ferocious underwater creatures; large crustaceans with sharp claws and tentacled breasts ready to drag intruders to the abyss.
