The United City of The Crimson Moon is a nation made up of one main settlement and the four other settlements, each of which has a general-purpose assigned to it to supply the population with resources needed for life, entertainment, protection etc. As such the Crimson Cities are a self-efficient nation. Having no quarrels with outsiders.

They often call their settlements Cities and when referring the main and most populated one they refer to it as The Crimson City. Even if they are all miles apart they all are under the rules of the Mage Imperial who resides within the Crimson City. Many do not want to leave, since they have everything they need provided by the government.

CRIMSON CITY/SETTLEMENTS
Lower caste citizens live within main settlements. But the higher caste and those deemed important to the government live in the Crimson City, protected from the elements, wild beasts, enemies, and the harsh weather by magic domes when needed.
The Crimson City is built to sprawl in large settlements with magic and the center buildings are rarely over a few stories tall and then get shorter the further they go out.
Most citizens use horses and their own feet for transportation. Unless they are a mage and they may use their Phenoix as a form of transport if it is large enough.
Kulshedra, the capital, is a large settlement-like city. Then the focal point of government The Midhaven, is dominating the city as its tallest building. Kulshedra is a hyperactive settlement with posters, balconies, and bridges separating the different castes.
Scrying crystals are also everywhere. They say you're never really alone in the Crimson City and its settlements.
Only Mages, military officials, and police officers may wield weapons. Possessing a weapon of any sort is illegal. officers may wield weapons. Possessing a weapon of any sort is illegal and can result in questioning.
Many of the settlements have a wide arrange of colored clothes decorating their homes as well as paints decorating their earthen homes. It is almost as if someone is walking through a different world as each painting on each building has a story to tell. Each one has a certain job/resources it provides for the nation as a whole. For example, one work on primarly food, another works on entertainment etc.

Those of the crimson city and the settlements have many entertainments at their disposal, they are content and happy. Having adequate living conditions even if the person is of a lower caste. As well as having food on their plates the citizens know nothing else. In return for prosperity, the citizens are kept in the dark about certain things.

CRIMSON CITY CULTURE
The Crimson City and her settlements are a materialistic, hedonistic society. Pleasure is seen as a healthy pursuit, and Crimsian society believes that anything that makes you happy, gives you pleasure, and harms no one is good and should be celebrated. Prostitution is legal, as are most drugs.
It is viewed as shockingly and morally wrong to judge others. Acceptance is a high Crimsian value. Judging others for who they are, how they choose to live, or what gives them pleasure, is considered outrageous. (Humans are barred from this)
The pursuit of knowledge is discouraged. The pursuit of immediate pleasure should always come first. Any books that question Crimsian values or government are contraband.
Celebrities are Crimsian gods, and the media is somewhat its religion. Crimsians are kept largely uninformed about world affairs, though they are subjected to pro-Crimsian propaganda daily.
Soldiers are seen as heroes. They are nearly worshiped in the Crimson Cities. Many times they are thanks for their service bypasser
A rune is planted on the right wrist of all citizens at birth, or whenever they receive citizenship as in the case of immigrants. This serves as their ID, and is required to go anywhere and do anything in The Crimson City.
Currency is in the form of phoenix coins, orange shaded gold coins. The number of feathers increases the amount the coin is worth.
It is expected that if you are accepted and become a citizen of the nation, you do not give any information of the outside world unless allowed by the government, also you accept that the flow of information is guarded by the government. If anyone is found spreading lies and information which the citizens should nit hear nor will they understand then the person will be brought in for questioning. If someone is found to be working against the government then they will be disposed of.

The Government controls everything, those who immigrate to the nation, teachings, the military, entertainment, and even the destruction of a city that has long been forgotten except by the higher ranking Mages. No one can leave the confines of the nation but they may travel from city to city so long as they remain within their caste level at the other city.

GOVERNMENT AND POLITICS
The military is the government, and those in the military receive the best pay, education, benefits, and freedom. Anyone from sixteen to thirty years of age may join the military.
Mages are drafted as soon as they are of eligible age (13 for the Mage Program). Strong mages will go into the Mage Program, while weak mages will be designated for other jobs.
At the top of the military are the Mages.
The leader of The Crimson City is the Mage Imperial.
Below the Mage Imperial are four other Mage ranks. From lowest to highest they are Candidate, Echo, Knight, and Royal.
The lowest ranking Mage is still higher ranked than the highest-ranked non-mage military. It is the Mages that are truly in control of the nation.

The Military

Order of the Bloodied Scales: Homeland Security (Riki put your stuff here :)

Mages: The highest rankings within the military. They are drafted at a minimum of the age of 13 into the Mage program. There they go through an intense four year training period mentally and physically. High trained and deadly military leaders emerge from the program, all of them must be 18 years old to graduate. Often send outside the cities to defend them from beasts and other challenges. Certain Mages can go outside of the Nation’s borders if the need arises. Each mage has a specialty in a certain branch of magic that is formed by the government.

Non-Mages: Basically your basic infantry etc.

Pheonix: These fiery birds are a Mage’s companion and they come in a variety of sized. The smaller ones are for the more... paperwork Mages as well as the non-combatants (nurses etc) even though every Mage is highly trained in many weapons. They have the ability to let certain people touch them without burning them and so the Mages can use them as mounts into combat. Those who touch them say they are a pleasure able warmth, and their feathers soft.
